The 10/2 March in Washington

See my reply to Rev. They are mirror images of one another for the most part.

See my edit above. I don't think that they're mirror images simply because they fall on opposite sides. The average tea party member is much closer to the political middle than the average communist party member.

It would be a stupid outcry that intentionally misrepresents what is being said.

Whether it would be stupid or not, my point is that I believe there would be an outcry and it would be loud. My issue here is not about whether such criticism would be valid, but about the way that these things are being treated. If the tea party and Palin were having a rally with groups that labeled themselves as "militant," I think there would be a substantial reaction among the press, the public, and Democratic politicians.

They describe themselves as militant? Where?

Google "communist party USA." Not only do they label themselves as such, it's actually the text they chose to show up underneath their addy.

I did not try and suggest they averaged out in the middle, only that their values where mirror images of one another. To me, they are equally misguided however.

I fail to see why some stupid people making an outcry should have any bearing on anything.

A twitter pic? Seriously.

Libs expressed viewpoints at DB...

Socialist democrats- love, compassion, intelligence, tolerance, informed, educated
Tea Party republicans- hate, fear, racists, idiots, intolerant, misinformed, uneducated

I just think that one is far more outside the mainstream than the other. Again, Webb and Bachmann might have opposing views, but I don't think you could argue that one is the equivalent of the other or that they're equally worthy of condemnation.

I fail to see why some stupid people making an outcry should have any bearing on anything.

It's not about the worthiness of the criticism or the intelligence of the people pushing it, it's the fact that the outcry would exist and would be substantial. I'm saying that if the roles were reversed, I believe we would see negative coverage in the press, fury from liberal groups, and condemnation from prominent democratic politicians. I think we'd see that because we have seen that, in the calls for the tea party to "expel bigots from their ranks." However, in this situation, the only reaction is some minor criticism from conservative blogs.

Whether or not the reaction would be valid, the disparity in the way they have/would play out is certainly noteworthy.

A twitter pic? Seriously.

If you think I've somehow put together a forgery, you could just google it and see for yourself.

Hell, just click this: [LMGTFY="communist party USA"]communist party usa [/LMGTFY]

I would also point out again that Beck recommended people use a socialist program to get to his "restore honor" rally. Consistency is needed here.

yeah...something like that.

When I try it with Bing, I get:

It looks like it displays different text depending on the browser/search engine.

Regardless of whether it shows up in your search or not, the fact remains that the group has labeled itself as "a militant, activist, working class party."

Their web site doesn't claim that. So rather than relying on questionable web search engines I'll stick to what their site says.

The display text that shows up underneath a search result is provided by the website owner. Unless you're suggesting that:

1) I forged that picture (which is from someone else who apparently sees the exact same thing) and am straight up lying about what I see, or
2) Someone hacked into the CPUSA website and changed their display text,

they labeled themselves as such.

The reason it comes up that way in a Google search, is because that information was embedded into the html page by CPUSA on their website. Google does not write opinions for their search results. It all comes from what's coded in the actual web page itself.

In other words, that description could have only come from the CPUSA website, whether it's displayed for the public to see on the website or not.

Honest, clear-thinking people do not take certain events or words and look at them in isolation. It's the whole picture. What Obama says, what he has done, what he wants to do coupled with the people who mentored him growing up, what he learned growing up, the people he hires, the groups who support him, the groups who don't support him...

Look at the whole picture.

And, again, (I'm really tired of repeating myself on this)....yes, I KNOW not all the organizations are communist and socialist. I KNOW. Some ARE. Looking at the entire picture of Obama's words, wants and actions coupled with who he chooses to advise him and who chooses to support him....the conclusion is clear. He DOES organize with Communists and Socialists. YES, he also organizes with groups of OTHER political philosophies as well.

To say he has absolutely ZERO to do with Communists and Socialists is completely ignorant. So you're either illiterate (obviously not) or you just don't WANT to see what's right in front of you.

Bull****. What you are doing is looking at circumstantial evidence and associations and substituting them for fact. What you say may be true, but until there is evidence, we do not know.

It's circumstantial evidence that communists and socalists are working together with Obama's Organizing for America?

It's right there on the One Nation Working Together website.

It is so hard for you to understand because the thought of a US President working with Communists and Socalists is foreign to you?

Its circumstancial evidence for a deeper meaning beyond that they are sharing a rally.

Yep and there is no deeper meaning beyond that.

It is so hard for you to understand because the thought of a US President working with Communists and Socalists is foreign to you?

Its easy to understand. I just like to not substitute speculation for facts. All we know is that they are at the same rally.

Well, I'm glad you're finally admitting what's right in front of your face.

Now...

Do you honestly think communists and socialists just HAPPEN to be going to the same rally as if they're just there by mistake? Why would they be involved in a rally for the Democrats? Why would the Democrats allow them to be involved?

The ONLY reasonable answer is that they AGREE with each other and are working together toward common goals. Do you agree with that?

If not, do you have a different reasonable answer?

I never denied they were on a website. I denied that it really means anything.

 Can I use this line of thinking when some racists show up at the next tea party?

I think there are some common goals and some goals that are not common. That was never in dispute. But while there is some agreement (all three being left of center ideologies, we use this scale for a reason), it does not mean that they are the same thing, which is what you seem to be implying. Can you show that agreement on some issues means that Obama is a socialist and/or a communist?

This is where you have yet to go beyond circumstantial evidence.

The difference is......the communists and socalists ORGANIZATIONS are sponsoring this event. I have not seen a racist ORGANIZATION being allowed to sponsor a tea party. So are you going to answer the questions? Why are they going to be there? Why would the Democrats want them there?

I think there are some common goals and some goals that are not common.

Specifically..............?

I believe we're now agreeing that the Democrats are working with communists and socialists.

Please show me where socialist groups are sponsoring the event. (I don't mean unions, I don't mean churches, I don't mean various single issue groups, I mean socialists and communists (the real thing)).

I believe we're now agreeing that the Democrats are working with communists and socialists.

Merely working together is not proof. Again, sharing a few goals does not mean these groups are one in the same. For example, the NAACP is going to be there, show me how they are communists.
