The only thing I've said is that Obama and the Democrats are working with Communists and Socialists. You fought me on that for awhile, but now you seem to be admitting it.

Is Obama a Communist or Socialist? I cannot know that for a fact. I can only look at his words, his actions, his past mentors, who he chooses to give him advice, who he chooses to organize with, etc. and form an educated opinion. I think it's fair to say that he leans more toward socialist than any other President we've had in recent years. I think it's fair to question WHY he's working with communists and socalists. I think it's fair to question why he hasn't denounced socialism (when he knows he's being called one).

You seem to be refusing to even look into WHY they will be there and WHY the Democrats are allowing them to be. You're just lazily thinking that they all just HAPPENED to be going to the same rally. :doh

Oh, well since you changed your stance, I withdraw my objection. Communists are a bit naive and stupid, but not evil (in fact, they generally mean well and care about their fellow man) and there is nothing wrong with socialism, even though I don't think it is the best way to optimize society for everyone's greatest gain. So I see nothing wrong with your new statement.

I guess I didn't notice the question as I was too busy pointing out other problems with your posts.

Generally, they believe in the possibility of using government as a force for good. They generally believe there are certain aspects of the market (and I am being vague here because its a sliding line between the ideologies (the left is a spectrum) from one or two small problem to believing that the market does not work at all) do not work for the betterment of humanity.

There are major differences though. To my knowledge, mainstream democrats do not think the government should own large portions of the economy for example (for example, I hate that the government owns a share in the car companies, while it was unfortunately necessary at the time, it should be shedded as soon as practical), while a socialist probably will. Whereas a communist will generally advocate for a complete planned economy.

This has also annoyed me since I first saw it....

Their symbol is orange, white and blue. You'd think since they're supposedly representing America and the symbol is similar to the flag, you'd think they'd use red.

Since Obamacare requires people to buy health insurance from private companies and not from the government how can you say he is socialist? Obamacare is virtually the same as Romneycare only it's for the whole nation. Is Mitt Romney a socialist because he signed legislation when he was governor of Massachusetts? Or was Richard Nixon when talked about the same legislation?
