Imagine this. You’re a 60-something gay Vietnam veteran out to dinner with your husband in New Hampshire when Mitt Romney sits down at your table uninvited to ask for your vote in overturning your state’s gay marriage law. You know, the one that allowed you to marry your partner of a few decades or so in the first place.
:rofl
That's rich
Do you think he went home and showered and watched uber straight porn ad nauseum to masturbate the contact out of his system?
Only if you think he really is as staunchly anti-gay as he acts, or, if you are like me, and believe he only puts that show on for his base and their necessity for extremism.
How was he to know they were partner? Is Romney to avoid approaching any two men because they may be homosexual partners?
More like he should stop trying to overturn gay rights.

If I were this guy, I don't know which I would be more offended at - the fact that Romney is attempting to take away my rights, or the fact that he automatically assumed my veteran status makes me anti-gay.
To some people pretty much everything one's opponents do or say is extremist.Opposing gay marriage is extremism?
Since when?
Depending on which set of polls you believe, the country is almost evenly divided on the question, and which side currently holds the majority is debateable.
Americans' Opposition to Gay Marriage Eases Slightly
For First Time, Majority of Americans Favor Legal Gay Marriage
I am mildly opposed to it; I don't think it fits the definition, history and purpose of the term, though I'd be okay with an equivalent civil union depending on details. It isn't really one of my bigger issues though.
Also, anti-SSM =/= anti-gay. Anti-gay is people who want to bring back sodomy laws and apply them to gays, etc.

What you want to bet he had them clear the women's restroom so he could go in to take a whiz?
Did you read the article? Here, let me help you:
You sit down at some ones table who is out to dinner to beg, you are an ass.

Let us say, for the purposes of argument, that for whatever reason you were politically in favor of abolishing heterosexual marriage laws. Would you not feel bad-- and indeed, look like a major asshole-- if you invited yourself to sit down at a table with a man and a woman and ask them for their political support in abolishing their marriage? Because, regardless of whether you support gay marriage or not, that is exactly what Romney did to those two men. He should be embarrassed for himself, and perhaps look at his as an opportunity for learn from his mistakes and reconsider his position. He won't, but he should.
Won't stop me from voting for him, if he takes the nomination-- Hell, the President's position isn't any better-- but it is still a mark against him.
