While listening to an audio feed from a Chicago fundraiser Thursday night, CBS News reporter Mark Knoller heard Obama speaking with donors after other reporters had left the room. That's when the president really opened up about his disdain for the recent GOP pushback:
"I said, 'You want to repeal health care? Go at it. We'll have that debate. You're not going to be able to do that by nickel-and-diming me in the budget. You think we're stupid?'" the president reportedly said.
The president also made clear he is no fan of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the GOP's Budget Committee chairman.
"When Paul Ryan says his priority is to make sure, he's just being America's accountant ... This is the same guy that voted for two wars that were unpaid for, voted for the Bush tax cuts that were unpaid for, voted for the prescription drug bill that cost as much as my health care bill--but wasn't paid for," Obama reportedly said.

I wish he'd say stuff like this more often, I'd feel more proud of him as my President.
However, Obama may not have intended for everybody to hear him.
I agree with you, but you missed the line:

Look, while I think the GOP does have views that are false, the democrats are equally guilty of this...
I thnk to disqualify your fellow citizens views because they have a different political affiliation, or to pretend the democrats have everyones best interests at heart as well is a fallacy.
Look... The president needs to take a stronger role in domestic politics, i agree, whole heartedlty, but he IS the president of the united states, and not just the president of those who agree with him.
I do not think the president of the united states, should have to divide Americans in order to win elections, but by the way folks, that's how you've set up your own system so i hope your happy.

He meant it to be leaked, if it was supposed to be "secret" you would of never of heard it.
Yeah because government officials never say things not knowing they are being recorded... ??? Listening to some Beck recently?
I bet if you look back two pages you can find a thread with a governor who was caught on tape by accident. Or did he do it on purpose? Hmm.. pass it on to Beck, he might be able to find a conspiracy in there somewhere!
Just from what I read from the OP, these comments don't seem particularly juicy to me. I think he's said things much worse than this to auditoriums full of people.

Didn't Bush and Cheney actually get caught using profanity (shock! gasp! horror!) off camera? I didn't even find that particularly salacious.

I wish he would, too. It would hasten his departure from the office.
The only problem I have with the whole thing is saying one thing on camera during a speech or press conference, then turning around and saying another thing to people filling the piggy bank. Praise Ryan one day, insult him the next. Either man up and say what you think, or stay silent.
