Micah Xavier Johnson identified as Dallas gunman: Report

So what sources are you using to "seek the truth"?

I seek the truth also. One should wait till all the facts are know before drawing a final conclusion.
.
Have you decided its another false flag carried out by the govt. to try and force more gun control yet.

I consider all sources Mike, as many as I can find to read and examine.

How about you?

I was a frigging medic and the Army taught me how to shoot and kill.

Cross-training in various MOS is probably more prevalent today than it was in 1970.

A combat medic is different than a carpenter. I doubt that the Army sent a carpenter, from a reserve engineer unit to sniper school. You probably know that didn't happen, too.

Already answered.

The difference HD, many times I provide the sources used with direct quotes.

How about you?

(of course I know the answer to the question I asked. Just want to see if you will be honest in your reply).

RIP Micah Xavier Johnson. Hopefully the good fight will lead to a massive reform in the police department. As someone that disagrees with Obama on almost everything, I agree that the police often act stupidly. In cases of black lives, they act illegally and violently. Even during times of war soldiers can be tried for war crimes. Police need to be held to the same standard. Allowing these thugs in uniforms to kill innocent civilians and have them suffer no repercussions in court is a complete outrage.
Killing cops who had nothing to do with these incidents is "the good fight"? What the ****?

Thank you for your service.

Thought you were a pilot in the military?

No, he was trained to do carpentry and masonry. IOW, the Army taught him more about how to remodel a bathroom than assault a numerically superior force, using firepower, cover, concealment and maneuver.

My brother was a combat engineer. He learned in school to defuse mines. Even on the info about this online they say they are taught about demolitions stuff.

I read that he was a combat engineer. That is different than a carpenter.

Right, he wasn't a carpenter. There's a difference between a, "combat engineer" and a, "carpenter".

Combat Engineer (12B) | GoArmy.com

Carpentry and Masonry Specialist Jobs (12W) | GoArmy.com

Some NOW's learn high speed stuff and some don't.

If basic training was enough to make a soldier into a high tech super soldier, special forces school, ranger school, etc. wouldn't exist.

He wasn't a combat engineer. He had a 12 series MOS, but he was a 12W, not a 12B.

If I'm wrong, fine. I had heard he was a combat engineer. But those guys still learn to shoot. Even the vast majority of sailors learn to shoot. My mother learned to shoot during her time in the Army. Even reservists.

Everyone in the Army is taught to shoot and every soldier is required to qualify annually with his personal weapon. But, in its face that basic marksmanship training doesn't make someone a world class shooter. It's based on the individual, some people pick it up and become expert marksmen and some don't.

Well if you found three Twitter's... wow! Must be all black people and Librulz then.

Nobody said it is all blacks and liberals. Actually...what that is highlighting is the hate that is coming out of the supposedly peaceful "BLM." The reality here is that the left failed to police itself when it came to this stuff. "Blacks are ALWAYS the victim" is the mentality that the left is encouraging and THIS is the result. THIS is what happens after years of race baiting in a country where it is up to YOU to pull yourself up by your boot straps.

Thanks for the link.

Well, regardless it looks like this technique is coming to a town near us!

"Other law enforcement officials supported the decision, suggesting they could take a similar approach if the situation called for it. At a news conference on Friday, New York’s police commissioner, William J. Bratton, said that while he was waiting to find out precisely what the Dallas police did, “we have that capability.”"

I still say it's heading to the courts.

Would you feel as apprehensive had it been a police marksman or a police robot with a gun rather than an explosive?

I'm not sure how I feel about a robot with a gun, but the bomb is what really bothers me.

I'm not comfortable with the government bombing its citizens. I'm hoping the courts weigh-in.

To me, the issue is the risk to bystanders.

If a person is a clear and present danger, like the Dallas gunman was, then it may be that you have to kill him. How you kill him doesn't really matter. Shooting, bombing - dead is dead.

There was a situation in Saudi Arabia where Muslim terrorists seized control over the Grand Mosque in Mecca. The Saudi authorities called in the French special forces to help deal with the situation. The French guys pumped poison gas into the part of the mosque where the terrorists were holed up. The terrorists had hostages, and some of them got poisoned along with the terrorists.

1979: Remembering 'The Siege Of Mecca' : NPR

If there's a danger of hostages or bystanders being killed, then there needs to be some political decision taken, by having politicians involved. It may be that sometimes a decision has to be taken that puts even hostages at risk.

maybe a flamethrower would have been better?

LOL, bombs away on radicals who wouldn't MOVE when the fascist-er mayor told them to!
I get the feeling that like myself, Turtle, you were fascinated with current events from the day you were born!

...that gunman Micah Johnson was dishonorably discharged from the Army for ...

From the article you provided.
"Johnson waived his right to a military court hearing in the wake of the allegations. Despite the claims, he left the Army in April 2015 with an honourable discharge."

I was a civilian fixed-wing pilot fortuitously assigned to a helicopter ambulance outfit in Vietnam. I never made it to actual Flight School, but learned helicopters by OJT as it were. After, thanks to GI Bill, I added R-H to my civilian license.

Horse****. You need to put on some reality lenses. BLM isn't responsible for this. BLM condemned this but a faction of the right wing is in attack-dog mode and is trying to take down BLM and go after Obama over this with a bunch of shameless garbage.

The Drudge Report headlined its site with a grotesque slur in all caps: “BLACK LIVES KILL.”

Former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh tweeted, “This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you.”

And Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa blamed the shootings on President Obama’s criticisms of police

The New York Post took a little more time to come up with a similarly provocative take on the tragedy, running a morning headline that blared, “CIVIL WAR.”

Some conservatives had the integrity to stand up and rebuke this crap and kudos to them. I guess this board is filled with quite a lot of conservatives lacking such integrity.

From what I've been reading lately, you're attitude is a much bigger part of the problem than you're willing to admit.
