do as many gay men have butt-sex as everyone seems to think?

I hope I dont sound judgemental, but I just dont understand why anyone - gay or straight - would want to do that, even if it is pleasurable.

Yes and No, unfortunately. I try not to do butt sex, I am more cautious then most gay people!! I really do not want AIDs.

Now Do I look at a cute dudes ***? Oh yeah! I think too many gay men are butt crazy.... come on straight guys who think gay men chose it, would you really chose to get thrilled over a nice firm butt on a dude?

Dont sweat it, star. Thats what this thread is for, I think...to ask and answer questions candidly.

But unfortunately, I am really not sure how to answer you. I can tell you this, I am with james on this one. I dont engage in that as a practice unless I am in a relationship. My boyfriend and I do maybe once a month at best...it is not our favortie kind of sex. Its really all about preference.

I dont have any gay friends, so all I get are the standard resources of information. you know, like the media, myths, the internet. and those would all have you think its standard practice, and that you would just assume thats whats going to happen the first time you get intimate with a new partner. I just find that a bit hard to believe, but no one has told me otherwise.

I took a 12 pack of Corona and a bottle of Patron with some limes over to my girly friends house and had a sit down chat with them. They are gay. They have lived together for about 4 years now. Jen and Jan. Awesome people...

aps, you are too funny. On the subject of swallowing...eww. Some guys get off on it, some dont. I dont care one way or the other. Once I have ejected my little pilots, I am not particular about where they land. I absolutely will not swallow and would probably gag if he let loose in my mouth at all. ewww.

I refuse to do it. Rude or not. That stuff tastes nasty. My ex asked me why I wouldn't swallow. I told him to taste it and get back to me. He actually did....and never questioned me again. :mrgreen:
 
So an actual question for once:


Have any of you noticed a general personality difference between the older gays and the younger? Most of my friends have been younger, but I had one older who was out and proud...but still acted odd about it. Some of my jokes were fine, but sometimes he wouldn't talk to me for a week. I was just wondering if the younger gay guys are less reserved with their sexuality since it's not as big of an issue.

I would say that is probably true of both straights and gays. It seems that younger generations have a free-er attitude towards sexuality in general.

I find the differences between older gay men and younger ones to be clear. I think older gay men were raised in a time when they actually had to fight for their rights. We younger gay men had it a lot easier and so, we had less reactionary behavior to society. I also think that younger gay men are finding it easier to have relationships because we dont have to hide our involvements. Its all just out there like it is for a straight couple. As a result, I think the infestation of drugs, suicide, HIV infection and such will drastically diminish in the coming decade. I guess the difference between younger gay men and older gay men is this...now that society shows some respect, its easier to respect ourselves and eachother. Now that we respect ourselves and eachother, its easier to show some respect for society.
 
On the question of swallowing, no, no, no. Never. Hideous, gross and disgusting. Have I made myself clear?

On the question of "older" gay men, how are we defining older? Am I an old queen in my dotage? Where did all the years go? And why, when I was younger, did I do it for free?

I havent found it to be much messier than regular sex. It's always a bit exciting because its different/tighter/etc, but it's not quite the holy grail that some people make it out to be.

But as to the women not liking it...one didn't think she would enjoy it but eventually became a huge fan, and the other most certainly took the initiative...:lol:

I completely agree, and I don't think it could come fast enough. The percentage of the gay community here in the city who "party n play" has been growing like crazy and its becoming an epidemic. They've started tons of city programs lately and theyre starting to have an effect, so that should start to reverse soon.

nah man, thats what this is all about...sharing information and dispelling myths. In my city (which most would consider a town) there has been a sharp decline in the PnP scene over just the last couple years. I cant even imagine what the epidemic must be like in NYC.
