With new reports that show X's algorithm intentionally pushed pro-Trump and pro-Putin posts. We should take action against this propaganda platform. Most right wing misinformation comes from X posts usually with bad info and not citing sources. We should keep things in the mainstream with sharing links from The Washington Post, The New York Times, and the Associated Press. X not only is a bastion cesspool of misinformation but it also appeals to the lowest common denominator of political discussion. Elon Musk reportedly did many illegal things and even attempted to buy the election. Our board should not support an anti-American platform like X or allow it's continued propagation.

Hmm… how is someone making a post including a link to an X post (or any other source) any worse than your post with no link(s) at all?

Not the role the owner/mods should take. It is up to the posters to decide what sources are valid.

Everyone has the ability to ban any website by not visiting it. I never visit ZeroCred, Gateway Pundit, Conservative Treehouse, etc. so they are effectively "banned" by me.

Otherwise, the 1A allows for Xitter to exist, as it should.

Also, the premise is funny. :) Up until about 30 seconds ago, I would have bet a solid nickel that at least 75% of the threads started by someone citing an itself-uncited twitter post were started by @CaughtInThe, who is, shall we say, definitely not a right winger :p.

Just remember folks, all this could have been avoided if leftists at old twitter had been able to restrain their worst impulses, and not ban the Babylon Bee for thinking there were only two genders ;)

So do come up with an exhaustive list of acceptable sources for DF, and another list of banned ones and provide it to moderators. Are the standards and list going to change in the 'basement'.

I don't see how quoting the 'wrong sources' and being penalized, does not lead to a refusal to supply sources in the first place.

Lefties keep promising they're going to leave [wherever] whenever their tender consciences have been scorched by the terrible experience of anything contrary to their ideological worldview.

Frankly, I find that incredibly discordant with their constant clanging about "democracy" and freedom of speech and, well, everything that is actually neither in their ideology.
