what if the tea party was black. this is the senario that is mentioned on this blog and it would be really important if u read the whole article as i would like to hear ur views. also i was wondering if the tea party is not racist why the over weelming numbers of whites i mean where are the blacks, asians and latino supporters and why are they not as vocal as the white supporters and i will not even begin the number of racial slurs that are thrown at the rallies. also one more thing, i get ur problem is with obama, lets say i agree the tea party is not racist why the attacks on hos wife and family, i do know one thing about american history and it is no matter how unpopular a president is none have ever gotten the level of personal attacks obamas family have had

Very likely the Majority of those black people who supported Obama see this Tea party as nothing more than a racist backlash against a President purely because of his skin color.
With respect to whatever insults are heaped against his children, I do not have an answer save to suggest racism.
With respect to his wife, this is much easier to answer.
In order to have respect from people or Country, it is required that you SHOW respect, irrespective of whether you feel it or not.
In my and I venture to suggest a great number of other peoples opinion, for Mrs. Obama to come out openly and say she has no respect for the Country she was born in, renders her getting absolutely no respect from me, hence if she feels insulted, tough, she will have to grow a thicker skin.

Incidentally, I have never heard of the wife of any other President or Presidential candidate express a similar viewpoint.

Not being proud is not the same thing as not having respect.

It would be known as the "Grape Drank Party".

on what basis do you make this false claim. and please, no rightwingnut, racist web sites as 'substantiation'. We do not need to hear of the mythical 'whitey' rant. it never happened. We need not hear a repetition of Fox News/Michelle Malkin's characterization of her as "Obama's Baby Mama" or of her "terrorist fist jabs".

Although she would reject the argument, in fact, she HAS rejected the argument, I would not find it difficult to understand how a woman descended from slaves would find it hard to have much pride in a nation that, until she had occasion to feel differently, would laugh out loud at the thought of one of her kind as president of the united states.

You are free, of course, to like or dislike her as you wish. Mischaracterizing what she says and then using it to spread your unfounded hatred, though, is simply wrong.

I have difficulty taking pride in it for this and many other related reasons.

What if Hitler was black?

Some of the tea party is black already. If all of them were black, I would be cheering them on.

It would definitely be iced tea.

The words are "you" and "your" not u and ur.

But since they aren't, you don't?

But since they aren't, you don't?

White people are boring.

But more seriously, it's because the tea party exists in some sort of alternate reality where taxes aren't at an all-time low and the current president isn't doing pretty much exactly what the last one did.

I'm sure there's a number of reasons why the tea parties are majoritarily white :
- There's still a majority of voting age adults in america that are white.
- Obama's team have been incessantly playing the race card and TELLING the people that it's run by the KKK (effectively)
- A portion of black people very likely support Obama simply because he's black
- Black people bought into the propaganda of racism / race baiting and so they don't want to risk showing up somewhere where they are not welcome
- When they do show up, white people having witnessed all the race baiting see black people and are forced to wonder if he hates them because of the propaganda.

That said... to answer the thread question :
If the tea party was black they would still be racist, anti-american traitors and possibly linked with al-quaida and on the verge of shooting people, oh and they'd all be crazy too.

It's just the way it is... the ONLY reason someone doesn't support health care reform is because they don't like people of a different race afterall.... it's ALWAYS been that way. Same thing with the bailouts... if you don't want the government bailing out white owned banks is because of racism.
If you think that Obama is creating socialism, RACIST!!!!

It DOES NOT MATTER, you cannot oppose the system without some sort of name callng... regardless of whether or not the argument even makes sense.

If the tea party were black it would be coffee.

So, having a different stance than the current political climate has to have a color? There are plenty of people in the Tea Party from all status and other characteristic groups and they all are fed up with the mess that is the federal bureaucracy and overtaxation, deficits, etc. I am not a member of the Tea Party but feel the need to defend them against all of these inane and frankly stupid attacks levied against them simply because they don't want more interference. Now, that said, what if Thomas Sowell, Larry Elder, Justice Thomas, Bill Cosby, or Walter E. Williams were white? Does that make what they say less informed or true?..........NO.

Random note: Bill Cosby didn't write that email, FYI.

I get that. Just using it as an example of a mirroring postition that would be equally absurd.

Don't try to confuse us with your 'issues' and 'facts'... all that matters is that if you oppose the government in any way, shape or form, you are racist. (sarcasm )
