What happens after death?

I’m probably arrogant through sheer luck because there is not one dead person I long to see again. So, I’m hoping Death is still.

So - you say the thief tagged along too, in hell?

Lol - maybe He told the thief to, "wait for me here. I'll be back."

Nobody witnessed what was supernaturally happening immediately after their deaths.
But, I dwell on that assurance of Jesus to the thief:

“Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”




TRULY.

What does that term mean to you? "This time, I'm not lying?"



TODAY.


What does that term mean to you? "Someday, when I come back?"





What makes you think .................................there weren't any other possibilities other than
drag the thief with Him to hell?

Do you imply Jesus was talking gibberish at that moment?

Why on earth do you put any limitations on what GOD can do?
What part of....."...with Him, nothing is impossible," too hard to understand?

Notice where the comma is...makes much more sense now, doesn't it, considering Jesus did not go to paradise on that very day nor did the criminal...

The bottom line is: no one here knows for sure.

What I personally believe: there is an eternal energy in everything including us. I think that eternal energy goes on, I think there is a spiritual realm of some sort. I've sensed it a couple of times. Nothing like a "god" really, unless the Universe is "god", but I believe there is a spiritual realm.
I am the opposite of "religious", and generally feel that American "christians" by and large exhibit pretty AWFUL human qualities.

But to me its silly to make the assumption that this physical realm here that we see and sense with our limited and flawed human perception is all that there is.
Theres more than this. IMO.

We have no idea what fills those gaps. A mysterious force we do not yet understand certainly can reside there.
