Sort of misleading, while true to the only two causes you mention it ignores the totality.Shooting continues to be the leading cause of death among American children, higher than car accidents or medical causes. No other industrial nation has firearms in the top five, let alone first. This is not a place America wants to be first. You have a serious gun problem.
While accidents in general remain the most common cause of death in youth, for those ages 1 to 24 years, death due to gun violence and accidental injury are now more common than death due to motor vehicle accidents.
The Leading Cause Of Death In Children And Youths Is Now Guns
Accidents remain the leading cause of death among all individuals between ages 1 and 44 years, but the most common cause has shifted in recent yearrs.
