Speaking to BBC News, Jeong Park of the LA Times said: "What we know is that this does not seem to have ties to the Lunar New Year celebrations that happened at Monterey Park.

“I was just at the celebrations on Saturday afternoon where tens of thousands gathered to celebrate. This does not appear to be related to that.

"It appears to have happened at a dance studio nearby where a gunman came in with what an eyewitness described as a machine gun - or a semi-automatic gun – and had fired multiple rounds at mostly Asian-Americans from what we can believe and what we heard from the eyewitness.

"I talked to a restaurant owner across the street from where the shooting happened. He described to me that three people had come rushing into the restaurant and told the owner to lock the door because there was a guy with a machine gun who was in the area.

“The guy told me that about ten minutes afterward, somebody fled in a car.”

The suspect apparently remains at large. No motive known yet.

One only has to travel to a red state to find all the guns he needs. We need federal gun reform, period. Stop selling them, stop selling ammunition and the problem will slowly solve itself.

Everyone is allowed to discuss the ongoing carnage from your weapons of war that you excuse.

That includes those from other nations, such as our moderators and other staff. Stop playing mod and trying to stifle conversation.
 
Think of how much worse this would’ve been if the killer used a gun with a thumb hole stock or bayonet stud

California has no authority to stop guns from Nevada. The federal government is the only entity that can even try.

Of course this conversation always ends up with the pro gun people pulling the second amendment as a trump card, which is really just an argument for a constitutional amendment clafiying the 2nd. To which the gun lovers say will never happen.

Never is a long time, abusing the 2nd amendment will lead to it's demise in a couple of generations.

Yes, they do. And in fact they can. In addition it is illegal for a California resident to purchase a gun in nevada and if you show California ID to a nevada firearm store they can’t proceed with the sale.

Red-state skkkum in Indiana have always illegally run guns to Illinois, then blame gangs for using them.

That’s not all the illegal contraband GOPukkkes run to my state either, like drugs, alcohol, and cigs.

It's not that hard to get a Nevada drivers license, also not all gun sales require ID.

Nope, more likely pointing out that criminals, by definition, willingly violate laws. Those who see “gun control” laws as being ‘special’ laws, which even homicidal criminals would surely obey, are simply kidding themselves.

Every gun that is sold illegally was legally manufactured and sold legally at least once.

Abusing and bastardizing the 2nd amendment, and especially the 10th, gave us the civil war that never really ended politically. These people in AM radio 🇺🇸 dream of another shooting civil war.
