Trump Encourages Racist Conspiracy Theory About Kamala Harris

First of all how is it Racist? Do you even know the definition of Racism? because this is not Racism! Stop using Racism for everything to make things more extreme then they really are even though they do not involve racism!

How is it racist for the right to switch from saying . . .

1. The first black president is lying about his place of birth.
2. The first black president is lying about his religion.
3. The first black president hates white people.
4. The first black president hates America.
5. The first black president is actively trying to destroy America.
6. The first black president is trying to use AGW to transfer our wealth and "sovereignty" to third world nations, to make the US a third world nation.

. . . to pushing a CT about Harris supposedly not being eligible to run? You're asking that? Should we also dig up right wing certain similar smears against a brown muslim congresswoman?

It's only the non-white candidates who have their religion/birth/etc questioned. You know the motive. You just don't want to own up to the fact that it's the people you support that push this disgusting swill.

To be clear, neither Hillary NOR Trump is racist. There were legitimate inquiries into Obama's birthplace. Which turned out to be incorrect.

What a hopelessly stupid lie. There were no "legitimate" anythings into Obama's birthplace. There was just a lot of disgusting right wing racism. There is a lot of it, in fact, and it's increasingly out in the open ever since Trump gave his Trumpists permission to wave their ugly around.

40% of right wingers polled said Obama was not born in America and was lying about being Christian. Another 20% were "not sure". That held for nearly a full decade. I suppose they've stopped bothering with those polls.

That's one big basket of deplorawhats. So much racism. . .

As is obvious and anticipated, Birtherism conspiracy theory is still alive and thriving in the racist mind of Donald Trump and his ilk.

Katie Rogers see racists under here bed.
Trump's drooling racist fan base is already eating this up and running with it.

And
I see that every minority Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate is going to have to prove to white supremacists that they're really Americans.

This is just a repackaged version of "go back to your country."

Just don't place your black kids with mine because.......ya know......the racial jungle thingy? (Biden)

Everyone knows Trump is a ****ing idiot, but your faux concern only confirms your hypocrisy.

This goes for every one of your cohorts as well.

OH look..... more whiny 1/2 truths.

The other half is just full of crap.

Wait, I'm not validating the theory that Obama wasn't born in America.

However, there was nothing racist about the accusation. Clinton staffers made it, Trump made it as a private citizen. Obviously, there were some sort of irregularities in Obama's documents, they didn't pull the idea out of a hat.

Trump ran against Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz. All are people of color. No accusations that anyone wasn't born here.

Again, if Democrats are pushing for reparations, this indicates that most black Americans were born here. And their ancestors may have been slaves.

The narrative that there is some kind of sensitive stereotype with black Americans not being born here does not align with the push for reparations. It is a false narrative, as part of a politically motivated chess game.

You are degrading Obama here.

He is just as open to criticism as anyone else.

Using the phrase "the first black president" over and over implies that Obama's race protects him from criticism.

Which is racist in and of itself.

Proof?

About the birther movement? I have no idea. Again, it originated from a Clinton campaign staffer.

But please provide proof that it was racially motivated.

What does Obama's skin color have to do with whether or not he was born here? Many white citizens were not born here. Many nonwhite citizens were.

Remember, your candidate stated that he didn't want his kids going to school in a "Racial Jungle." That was clearly racist. Hands down. And an awful thing to say.

Here's someone who's known Trump for 37 years, and knows he cares about all people.

None of what you said is racism!

Questioning Obama’s birthplace was part of the “othering” of him. A campaign against him by the Republicans. Other elements of this was saying he was raised a Muslim and was not a Christian. That he grew up in Indonesia and didn’t share American values. That the church he attended was run by an anti-American communist. “Othering” is rooted in prejudice.

The right are now attempting to do the same with Harris. She’s an anchor baby, she’s a communist, she hates America. Similar enough to what the right says about all Democrats but with a degree of “othering”, to wit they’re not even really American.

Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz are all "people of color."

Trump did not question the birthplace of any of them, while running against them in the primaries.

It's almost like you all pushed for Harris purposely, hoping she'd be shielded from all criticism, because of her ethnicity.

Didn't work.
Actually, ignoring all other inaccuracies above, Trump did in fact question the birthplace or at least the legitimacy of Cruz running for President based on his birthplace.

Warren had her heritage questioned.

Carson, Cruz, and Rubio did not have theirs questioned, they are all people of color.

If Democrats are in favor of reparations, they are acknowledging that most black Americans were born in this country. Otherwise, they would not be due reparations.

They can’t then turn around and claim that there is some kind of stereotype that black Americans weren’t born here.
So you realize that questioning heritage is not just about being black, right?

There is no claim that there is a stereotype that black Americans weren't born here. There is a claim that Trump will use whatever he can to try to disqualify his competition, including completely ridiculous claims that they are not eligible due to their heritage or where they were born, or in the case of Harris, where her parents are from. These claims he makes though, when made against Harris or Obama, feed the racism in others.

I personally do not really think Trump himself is racist. I do think he uses racism as a tool against others, to draw in racist people who will support him if he hints at or outright makes claims against others based on things he knows will excite racist people. He isn't doing it because he really believes these things either. He is doing it to try to bludgeon his opponents with rumors and accusations and frustration.

This story is just another typical liberal lie. Trump didnt bring this up. A reporter asked Trump about it and Trump responded by saying he didnt know anything about it. That then becomes "Trump pushes racist narrative."

This is not true. This is what Trump said:

"“I heard it today that she doesn’t meet the requirements,” Mr. Trump said of Ms. Harris. "

He could have said that such things were just a rumor rather than saying he "heard it today".

Ah yes.

There He is.

The incredible Fletch.

Here to tell us once again, that the President of the United States is never responsible for a single word he says, whenever it’s inconvenient.

Trump has decades of racist incidents. Decades. Ask me to name just one!

Actually, the thing is, Trump is counting on that type of reaction to anything he says. He uses that type of speech as a weapon. But it isn't hard to recognize it, so long as you aren't fooled by it.

He talks in a way that can later be claimed to be "taken the wrong way" or "that isn't what he said", because it wasn't exactly what he said but was pretty obviously what he meant. It's how he is trying to get away with the racist dog whistles (again, I don't think he is really a racist himself but only because I don't think he cares about anyone except himself, regardless of race, religion, sex, anything) to stir up those who he knows he appeals to. It, in some ways, is worse than racism itself because it is manipulative and highly dishonest for nothing but personal power and greed. it uses others to spread racism, division, for nothing but greed and power grabbing.

As a leftist, you dont have a clue as to what racism is, so anything you might post as 'evidence' would be nothing but your typical garbage.

That changes nothing. He was asked to comment on a story and he did. Saying he 'heard it today' lends no credibility to the truth of the story only that today was the first he had heard about it. But why no criticism of the reporter who decided to raise the profile of the story by posing to the president on the national stage? The reporter is the person spreading the rumor, not Trump. How do you not see that?

Even you don’t trust your abilities to sort through information then? Is that right?

The question raised was whether Harris's parents, who were in fact NOT immigrants when she was born but instead both in the USA on a student visa, were "subject to the jurisdiction" of the USA when she was born.
Court precedence indicates that she was and is thus a citizen.
See-- there is a better way of responding to this allegation rather than lazily saying anyone who opposes your candidate is a racist.
If she wasn't a woman of color, would Trump be saying this crap? I would guess no. He is terribly intimidated by anyone smarter that him, add to that a women or a person of color, and he goes all out. He's been doing this sh** for years.
