Weird thread.
Feel free to duck out.
Anyway, it's ok to kill and eat swans in NZ, Kiwis say it's delish. Cooking instructions available where I took the pic from, for those interested.
Gourmet Swan Meat Burgers
From the article:
'I felt sick when I saw it. How can someone do that and leave it where they did? I would have been devastated if I had been walking along there with my little boy and he had seen that.
'It just sickens me that there are people out there that do things like that.'
Never had swan, now I wonder what it tastes like.

I don't know about in your area, but here, several years ago, there was a big push for people to eat ostrich, and we had ostrich farms popping up all over the place. It didn't catch on, but my understanding is that ostrich tastes pretty similar to goose. I'll stick with chicken.

I've eaten ostrich. It's pretty beefy, but tougher

Ostrich tastes more like beef than anything else. It's a red meat and incredibly lean.
The eggs make killer omelets too!
