Thats what it comes down to. Location, location, location.
 
And on the topic of location...it should be remembered that the laws change in different country based on their foundation and governing documents. Its not recommended to be openly gay in most Muslim countries. Its also not recommended for anyone to make out on a beach...even if you are discreet.

I agree. Unfortunately, if given a hint of having the power, extremist lunatics will declare strict interpretation of "sex in public" to mean kissing and hugging. Use extremist Middle Eastern nations as your guide for where US religious extremism might lead.

My position is get government largely out of the sex business. ****ing in public is more of a public decency issue than a legislating sex issue.

Either way I don't feel strongly about it as much as I care about stuff like anti-prostitution/sex work laws, anti-porn legislation, sodomy laws, and anti miscegenation laws all of which should be done away with.
 
the only people that should be having sex is me and the women i choose.

I wanted to make sure I understood your position.

The OP question leaves open an answer dependant on semantics, and in this case, at least, the semantics are important.
 
I suppose the incest case must be made if it was widespread enough it would become a public health issue , in any absolute question I find it hard to say yes in every conceivable circumstance

Sex in public is one instance where it probably should be illegal.

But it is an instance of sex between consenting adults which should be illegal -- on the counter of a kitchen at a restaurant...
