After half an hour, I might start asking some question.
After an hour, I might get a little furious.
Just saying.
Scott Powers, a veteran political reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, was the lone newsman assigned to cover the $500-a-head bash for Sen. Bill Nelson at the home of developer and Democratic bigwig Alan Ginsburg on Wednesday.
Spin, little top, spin!
I'm trying to figure out why you're so dead set on disbelieving him. Could it be due to who's being scrutinized here?
Actually, what's happening is it's TED and, to some extent Jet, that seem to be saying either the reporter was illegally confined or nothing happened here at all. I'm saying there room for the truth to fall somewhere in between. My point was broader. You can apologize for something embarrassing, but not doing anything wrong. What the staffer did was wrong, but people in this thread are making it appear to be more than it is by bringing up Obama. I still want to know why he was left in there for so long. I have been to fundraisers like this and people just don't sit there for an hour and fifteen minutes with only asking once if he can be let out.

If this was not political what was it?
Because I don't see where the reporter himself is saying he was strong armed into the closet and falsely imprisoned there. You're making an argument against a claim he hasn't made. In fact, looking at the email he sent about it sounding like a nice party sounds like he's making light of the situation.I'm trying to figure out why you're so dead set on believing him. In other words, no, but you're so bent vilifying Democrats that you don't want to admit it.
Spin, indeed.
only the complete political hacks that deny deny deny in the face of multiple sources.
And yet, that's what you're doing, putting words into the mouth of the reporter and calling it "splitting hairs" when I point it out to you.Only the complete political hacks have to put words in the mouthes of multiple sources.
So far, all I've seen is the word of a reporter who, having been confined against his will, didn't call the cops.
Nope, sorry, not buying it as it's been written.

Being another half-wit reporter he probably didn't know the number to dial for 911.
The whole thing is sketchy as having a backwards "B" carved on his face but I see we have several trout biting at the hook.
Reporter: 911? I'm a reporter at this fancy fundraiser to speak with VP Biden. He's not here and I was told to wait in a storage room. What should I do?
Operator: Leave if you don't like it.
Reporter: Oh, ok, but I think I'll wait.
Years ago I had a reporter interview me about a patient at the hospital I worked at.
Since she was young and pretty I spent a considerable amount of time explaining the medical procedure completely. I went out of my way to make certain she understood in layman's terms what the procedure was. Well, the paper comes out the next day with my name quoted and all. But she completely botched it.... I watched as she wrote down notes from her interview with me and yet still got it wrong.
Till this day reporters still don't understand the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack. Just in my little world of knowledge of cardiology I see they get it wrong all the time including the reports that came out on former VP Cheney.
I can imagine how wrong they are on other specialty areas.
Still have memories of watching the FOX female reporter waving her hands to get the crowd to make more noise.
Reporters I put on the same level as car salesmen.

Let's hear the usual liberal spin justifying that.....

Not sure she was a reporter and I saw nothing wrong with it anyway.

you put words in the mouths of multiple sources?
No, not really. There is a distinct difference between:I certainly haven't read him say anything like "I could've left anytime I felt like it, I just didn't give a hoot."
- Reading that this guy was the only reporter assigned, and interpreting that to mean he was the only one allowed to be there
- Reading that the man's employer says "a member of Biden’s advance team consigned him to a storage closet — and then stood outside the door to make sure he didn’t walk out without permission" and drawing the conclusion that his story is that he was falsely imprisoned
You're about a page and half behind the times:
Oh, wait, I get it! You're too much of a coward to come out and accuse me of being a hack, so you just imply it. Right on.
wow two in two successive posts. care to get back on topic, or wouold you prefer to try for a third? You get what respect you give. You won't get any from me for hiding behind the rules like a child.
