Yanuckovych was simply a tool Putin was using to achieve his goals in Ukraine. Where did Yanuckovych go in exile....Russia, naturally. Yanuckovych was nothing more than the agent of a foreign power acting against the interests of Ukraine and Ukrainians.

Yanuckovych was voted out by the Parliament, and the nation then held an election and chose a new President. The idea that replacing self-government with rule by a dictatorial and abusive autocrat is "disenfranchisement" is....

No one really knows what's motivating Putin, whether it's something no one's thought of, Ukraine's natural resources, attempting to resurrect the USSR or claiming he needs a buffer zone. For many conservatives because it comes straight out of Putin's mouth they think to themselves, 'I don't see any reason why it wouldn't' be the latter reason, after all Putin is as honest as Trump.

The idea that this is, War 'over' Ukraine is actually brinkmanship between the U.S. and Russia because NATO, 'poked' the bear by, 'expanding' is ridiculous. Neither America nor NATO pushed, forced, or 'expanded' into eastern European countries. The West has been associated with prosperity, democracy, and freedom. As for oil, Biden has let more oil and gas leases in 1 year than Trump let in 3. So much for the lease issue. As for production, lease holders having drilled in many cases have not completed the wells so they could start producing from them. You will have to ask fossil fuel execs why that is. I have no idea.

As for Iran, Trump tore up the JCPOA and it has not been possible to reconstitute it. Not that surprising. If Biden wants to cut a deal to get Iran's oil flowing toward the west again, I am not sure I have a problem with that. If you are not going to get the agreement, you just as well should get the oil UNLESS we can ramp up our own production quickly enough.
