First, where’s the evidence for the data point “work about 10% of the time”?
Second, some clarity is needed. What is meant by “work”? How is that measured? It is an ambiguous term.
Maybe some hypothetical math is helpful.
If masks saved 2,000 a month, that’s 1.3 people a day for a 30 calendar day for each 50 states. Such a number supports the notion masks “work.” Multiply 2000 by 12 months, and 24,000 people are saved, just below the death toll in NYC. Multiply 2,000 by 5 months, and 10,000 people are saved (April to September).
