Limbaugh: "I descended to the Left's level"

You know, not to change the subject but....

last weekend I was spending an evening with some very educated people. Onocologists, Family Practitioners and Anestheologi...er....gasmen dammit.

It's as if their entire conversation was dominated by matters of degrees and education. I found them to be rather snobbish when they referred to other folks with college degrees as "under graduates." They spoke with a "less than" air about them. It kinda pissed me off but I held my tongue. Alone, they are really cool people. When they all get in the same room, the very tone of their voice goes into "Chaz and Biff" snob tones.

I have been in the same situation . Thanks for semi polite conversation guys, good night.

I have never ever hear Laura Ingram referred to as dr Laura. DR Laura is a radio personality unto herself, just admit you were mistaken, it happens, don't try to wiggle out of this.

Hell, she might be a doctor too, I dunno. I just screwed up though. No excuses here. Just a big ol' "Duh."

Then why did you "like" my post informing you about Dr. Laura Ingram's doctorate? lol

Ya know, wingnut hardheadedness aside, that Sawyer guy ain't such a bad dude.

And we didn't see the same outrage over this incident from Limbaugh/Ingram types.. Two Sides of the Same Coin.

I didn't think that Shultz should have been fired, either.

Many liberals, including myself, don't agree with Schulz' hackery. And liberal comedians Stewart and Colbert staged a huge rally where hackery and hyperpartisanship was attacked. You're point is false.

Stewart and Colbert attack hackery and hyperpartisanship? That's a hoot! :lamo

It is very different to call Laura Ingraham a slut on air. She is a commentator and, thus, a public figure. It is quite another thing to villify some unknown college student. It's not the same thing at all.

I knew, "that's different", was coming.

Fluke put herself in the limelight. She wanted her 15 minutes. Criticism comes along with the post.

Not that you'll likely admit there's a difference but she was called a "rightwing slut, a talk slut" It's certainly not a compliment but it's not on the same level.

Right! Not on the same level.

Laura Ingram is a Conservative commentator that Libbos love to hate, almost as much as Rush. Fluke is now some sorta Leftist heroine. Let's face it, that's the only difference.

Wonder if Rush would put his money where his mouth is, reject all advertising dollars, and go strictly with fundraisers directly funded by listeners.

Find out pretty quick how many of his ditto heads REALLY support him.

Would that be legal?

So then you heard him open his show with Phil Collins' song in instrumental form "She's and easy lover" right?

Sincere apology my arse.

Nope, never noticed it.

Getting kind of tired of people bitching about "free speech" when their definition of such is "speech I agree with."

So, you must be redassed as hell at your Libbo pards.

I'm not even an Ed Schultz fan and I know you are trying to equate the two instances as the same and all but...

Get back to us when Rush pulls himself off the air as punishment and offers an apology anywhere NEAR as sincere as this:

This apology was offered for calling another talk show hosts a "slut." One quick outburst on one show and then gave that apology and then he pulled himself off the air, tv and radio, for a week or so. Rush... spent three days trashing this girl. Three days before his sponsor's started pulling ads THEN he gave a really half-assed apology.

Ed was wrong. Ed got punished and gave a sincere apology.

Rush was wrong, and won't really own up to it, or take a time out or anything... so he's getting his punishment handed to him and what he's getting is deservedly so.

This goes light years toward proving my point.

Don't be fooled, this student wasn't unknown. She's a professional activist.

Got an actual reliable source for that. So far the sources I have seen are really unreliable.

Limbaugh says he doesn

My God, is this guy an asshole.

First he apologizes (sorta/kinda), and now he uses the incident to simply take a swipe at the Left??????

**** this guy. I hope all his sponsors pull, and he goes bankrupt.

Limbaugh said he tried to call himself to pull his advertising for his product TwoIfByTea, but the line was busy.

The media wanted us to believe she was a 23 year old collage student, but in fact she's a 30 year old lawyer with a long history of activism. That little 'meeting' she 'testified' in wasn't even official, is was nothing but a press releace.
