General 2012 Election Results Discussion Thread

Romeny back ahead by less than 3000 votes in FL...

I realize this, still, at approaching 50% it's not gonna move much.

in 2000 gore was guaranteed to win,and was projected the winner, but after the votes got counted, bush won the state.

its a good example of a race suddenly shifting, especially when votes are so close.

or in other words, dont count you chickens before they hatch, they may be turkeys:cool:

Wouldnt surprise me. It appears that so far FL and NC are real real close with a large majority having reported.

Just heard VA has started reporting results again. Long lines in VA, specifically mentioned was wood ridge (woodbridge?)

Romney just took the lead slightly in FL.

That's significant.

Jumped further for Berg, with 8 precincts reporting.

55% v. 44%

This might be the Republican's only NET GAIN in the Senate: 1 seat.

That's significant.
If we're talking senate races, it appears Casey is in the lead here in PA for the moment...with 3% reporting he's up 50% to 47%

YOWZER....

So the first little bit of Loudoun County and Fairfax is coming in. Both at about 10% reporting.

Fairfax is +9% Obama. This compares to +21% in 2008.

Loudoun (Mind you, I called months ago this could very likely go red this year) is +5% for ROMNEY right now. In 2008 it was Obama +8%.

If these trends stay anywhere close to accurate throughout the rest of the night for those counties, Virginia is Romney.

I don't feel comfortable calling it until those counties (plus PWC) get closer to 50% reporting...but WOW, that's huge.

first report of voter fraud in New Hampshire! I found TWO I voted stickers on my 2 year olds jacket tonight, worrying stuff and so far he has yet to tell me anything.

200 votes separating Romney/Obama in Florida with 78% reported in, I sh*t you not.

CBS--GOP keeps house

NBC calls Pennsylvania for Obama.

NBC calls Pennsylvania for Obama.... everything is tracking to the polls...

I'm stuck watching ABC and they were talking about basically the same thing a few minutes ago.

CBS is saying calling Penns. for Obama.

Romney is done. He will lose FL if they are still voting

NBC also projects Obama wins PA.

Hey I have a question...Anyone know why my ballot had two congressional districts on it? PA districts 4 and 11.
