someone that never gets in fights and weighs only 140 throws a punch and not only breaks the guys nose but hits him hard enough that he is now"discombobulated". But only "discombobulated enough so that he gets knocked down and hits his head hard enough to gash it open on the ground (but not cause any other issues). Then he manages to get his wits about him very quickly, grab his gun, aim and pull the trigger - all while recovering from being "discombobulated and continuously being beaten by Martin. Not only that, but if Zim had been knocked down, Martin easily could have taken that moment to run. Instead, he apparently jumped on top of Zim and started beating him even more - in your scenario anyway.

I started to reply with, but then I realized that I have better things to do than have this silly argument.


Zimmerman's nose was broken. Dream away on how it was possible or not possible or did or did not happen. Have fun too.

For all intents and purposes, the opposition of supporting structural and social changes to do away with racism on the basis of equality is "promoting one race as superior or promoting the advancement of one race over another".

Also, racial autonomous movements like the Black Power movement are different than movements like the White Power movement generally because while the former is fighting inequality on the basis of empowerment the latter is promoting inequality on the basis of existing discriminatory institutions, practices and beliefs. This is why the idea of "reverse racism" is generally racist itself in its implicit defense of existing racist structures, even if commonly done in the name of equality.

Agree with almost all of this, but it doesn't take away from the fact that the New Black Panther Party is itself an inherently racist organization.

This entire case has spiraled too far out of control. It is no longer about guilt vs innocence. It is not about truth. This case is now about race and only race. About a two weeks ago I started following this story. I was calling for more information, more of an investigation. It was pretty clear that all the facts were not known. I thought Zimmerman was guilty of something (still do) based on the information made public. My only hope was that a grand jury be convened and that all the facts were made clear. At this point none of that matters any more. Trayvon's family, the NBPP are using the tragic death of this young man to fuel their own racial hatred. They are exhibiting everything they are condemning in Zimmerman. Even if the justice department and a grand jury come back and state the Zimmerman acted in self defense and that he violated no laws, and even if they very thoroughly explain why, they will not be happy. They will continue to view this as a racial cover up. They have no interest in justice. They only want to promote hate.

I think the media - for their own pursue of ratings and some with clear political agendas, stirred almost everyone into a hate-frenzie. Even I was condemning Zimmerman on the forum, though drawing a line at claiming him a criminal - just a "stupid asshole." But then I said to myself, "Wait a minute, what are the facts? What did the witnesses say? The police arriving say?" etc.
This has spun out of control and the President turning this into a race issue with the horrific claim that Martin LOOKS like he could have been his own son, opened the flood gates.

WHO is willing to, in that neighborhood particularly, now willing to testify on Zimmerman's behalf? Or against the nature of Martin? How can Zimmerman or his defense team explore a defense? Zimmerman AND HIS FAMILY already had received so many death threats they all have fled and gone into hiding. Next president essentially declares this is a racial divide issue - him promoting the divide - (because he needs African-Americans to flock to the polls, particularly in swing-Florida) and now the Black Panthers (or one faction of it) openly calling for Zimmerman to be killed and to pay for it to be done?

If the President does NOT follow up LOUDLY condemning the threads and instructing the Justice Department to IMMEDIATELY investigate the morder-for-hire offer, he is scrum in my view.

JUSTICE is no longer possible in this case. And sending Zimmerman to jail even awaiting trial is only the options of solitary (which is horrific) or at constant death threat in general population. No fair trial preparation is possible. No fair grand jury proceedings is possible. No fair trial possible. Nor any reasonable across the board jury pool possible. Even just picking only jurors who NEVER watch TV, NEVER read the news etc in light of Obama's statement is NOT a fair jury as it becomes a jury of stupid people.

They referred it to the AG. I'm not sure what elese you would have hte police do. It's up to the AG at that point.

To me this sounds like murder for hire. Last I checked this is a crime. You cannot pay or even offer to pay for the murder of another person.

Groups like this are making things about race. Black community and black men and women that they are referencing are specifically racist. No attempt to conceal it and yet it gets no attention. The Black Panthers fall under the protection of Political Correctness as well as Barack Obama's and Eric Holder's Justice Department.
