He was TOLD by police to NOT get out of his car and chase the kid. On the tape we hear Zimmerman panting as he chases after the kid. Then Zimmerman says 'f-ing coon'.
All a security officer can do is observe and report. He chased the boy with malice and intent to stop him--as he stated 'they always get away.' He murdered a 17-year-old boy--IMO--and should be put in jail.
There has been some debate about who was calling for help. I would lean toward the one w/o gun.
Im sorry...did you LISTEN to the transcript? He was told very directly and in fact the dispatcher made a very clear point of it. The actual audio and facts dont fit what you 'want' it to be. A 17 year old kid is dead for the crime of walking home in his own neighborhood following a trip to a convenience store. He was stalked and harassed by a neighborhood watchman for one reason...one reason alone. Please get your facts straight. He was not "told" by the police not to follow him.
Keeping someone under observation until police arrived is not inciting anything.
And he did stop following him.
As he was on his way back to his truck he was attacked by Trayvon.
Your narrative is off.
Besides, there is no reason to "flip the script".
Feelings are not at issue here.

Oh, BTW "George" in the Latino community is a two syllable word with H sounds, for you who so enjoying slamming him because you like the race of the other guy better.
I care not what you think of me personally.injured vet...im guessing a head injury then based on this utter rubbish your posting.

Yet another version of the story.
I have a hard time believing that a 17 y/o kid couldn't outrun a 28 y/o fat body.
cite, pleaseBut the kid confronted him first as evidenced from the girlfriend's statement.
sorry you probably misunderstood, we wouldnt be talking about this because Zimmerman would of been arrested at the scene and it would of been local news worthy only.

A black kid was killed. The only thing that would quell any argument, would be Zimmerman behind bars and on this way to the gas chamber. No jury, no trial, no nothing.
A dispatcher is just a telephone receptionist, not "the police," nor told him to do or not do anything. I commonly ignore them, but that's somewhat a different matter.
I care not what you think of me personally.
But you have crossed a line and have gotten personal, I have reported you.
This type of comment is uncalled for.

Everyone, tone done the rhetoric a little bit please. I realize these type issues make emotions run high, but let's keep it a little more civil. Thank you. |
this was in Florida. he didn't have to run away.
he was legally allowed to stand his ground. and he did.
and now he's dead.

what would you like, Zimmerman given a parade for being a hero and removing a menace to society?
Did I say that? No, I didn't. So just be content with your silly little accusations of racism.
Latino...is not a race. The man is white.
...According to the only eye witness, an African American teen out with his dog, Martin in a sense was "standing his ground" - over Zimmerman.
Oh no you didn't!!!!!! :lamo
Do we know for sure? No, and that is the fault of the police who didn't question Zimmerman.
Stand his ground against a credible threat. Someone approaching him to ask a question doesn't qualify as a credible threat.
in many places, 911 dispatchers actually are Peace Officers.
No he wasn't.He was TOLD by police to NOT get out of his car and chase the kid.
At this point in time that is not something that has been confirmed to be true. Then Zimmerman says 'f-ing coon'.
lolmind reader?
Most places not and for many good reasons. First, it could raise lack of Miranda warnings issues in SOME situations - where what was said on the phone my be vital information. Yet do you want all 911 calls to have a 7 minute delay while a recording of the Miranda warning in 3 different languages first?
Second, dispatchers have to often guesstimate the best responses and even "instructions" - not really knowing much of what is going on. Advice and statements made by a police officer carry a lot of weight in some circumstances. So if some woman was screaming 'oh my god! oh my god! He's breaking it, the rapist is breaking in! He's going to rape me again! Can I defend myself with this shotgun?! OH god, he's in!!" - no matter whether the dispatcher says yes or no, there is a real danger and liability potential - as what a police officer tells you goes a LONG way to "an affirmative defense" OR creating a lawsuit.
Is it a murderous rapist who will murder everyone in the house? Or a pissed off woman about her husband coming home drunk again?
Most placed do NOT want dispatchers to be police officers for many reasons.
