David Cameron resigns

I call utter bull****. Just saying.

You can call a rabbit who identifies as a unicorn your friend for all I care. That still wouldn't make you anymore educated on this topic. So I will ask you again: Which means of production are owned by the Chinese government in the private manufacturers who produce billions of dollars worth of goods? Come on, it's your chance to shine.

Lmao I'm not offended by anything you say. You're just displaying the colossal ignorance of the average rural DP denizen who has rarely left their country home. I don't fault you for it.

Today, there are millions of square miles of entirely privately built and privately owned apartment buildings, business offices, amusement parks, shopping centers, factories, dams, skyscrapers, schools, construction companies, mines etc. All of which produce wealth for the private parties that own them. These have all come about since Xiaoping's deliberate liberalization of the economy. Can you show us how the government 'owns' them all?

You really should stop before you seriously embarrass yourself.

All of which are under government control.

Who Is Responsible for China's Growth: The State or the Private Sector?

Not just state-owned economic entities are subject to government interventions, but the more prominent private firms are also affected by the whims of the state in ways that cannot be easily measured. Their ability to expand and secure financing depends on their relationships with the party system that influences access to commercial opportunities. Some would argue that in China there is no such thing as a purely private firm of any significant size. All major firms are seen as subject to the state's influence whether they are state-owned or private.

China's 12 biggest companies are all government-owned - Fortune

You need to do some more research into the issue before you start making comments about what other people do or do not know.

And the USA is a paradise.

Yes, pretty much compared to the rest of the world. Obama/Hillary and the rest of the left wing are doing their best to steer us toward European socialism, but we are not there yet.

Exactly. Cameron is going to come out of this smelling like a rose.

No he's not. He will be held responsible for the break up of the UK and running away. He's not very popular at the moment.

I have a feeling that the next UK PM will be the last one because the UK will dissolve once the Scots vote for independence.

Fingers crossed.

Only because the monarchy has allowed themselves to be ceremonial, if the county was at stake desperate measures could be taken.

Haven't read much about the British Civil war have you?

Here is a better translation of what he said.
Whaaaaaaaaa! I did not get my way so I am going to go off and stamp my feet.

If the EU is sooooooooooooooooooooo awesome, why doesn't the US join?

Maybe you should read some more. Despite the "constitutional" monarchy giving parliament the powers without an actual codified constitution all of it is still just at the will of the crown. If fact without going outside of the accepted limited powers she has today the Queen could still veto a brexit.

and then we could call a vote to disband the monarchy, it's literally not an option for her.

Translation: "Well, Great Britain, you created this ship wreck. Find someone else to steer it."

Personally, I think it's the honourable thing to do - something that British politicians are accustomed to doing when they lose the confidence of the people who elected them. Clearly, here, the people have rejected his position on the matter and as a result someone more in tune with the people should lead the country into the next phase.

There are many more politicians, who shall remain nameless, who would simply ignore the will of the people, claim the vote was too close, claim the people didn't understand the consequences, and then refuse to legitimize the vote with an act of parliament to that effect.

I congratulate Cameron on fighting a good fight and then doing the honourable thing and resigning when he lost.

Would be more appropriate if the result was L for leave. If you recall, the masked fellow wasn't on the side of the elites.

"European Union

"United States of America"

Hm.....

Racist! We have as many of European origin as they do, we should be allowed. Think what an improvement it would be. ;)

The thing about a monarchy is they can force you to stay. Would England willing drown itself to avoid violence? The answer seems an obvious no but it's clear that nationalism is in the majority these days and I wouldn't rule anything out.

What? Had Scotland voted to leave the UK, do you imagine Queen Elizabeth riding at the head of an army of knights and archers?
Tell us how England would force Scotland to stay in the union.

Oh, boy, would that be a dream come true for the left. The United States, subordinated to the countries of the EU. Tear up the Constitution, we kneel to them. World socialism, so we can all collapse together.

But something went wrong today. Britain, of all, rejected the World this, the World that. Utopia is lost! Funny how the left is absolutely stunned when the people, the non elite, non government types, just say, "Ah, this socialism isn't working like you said it would."

Every once in awhile, the low information types have a light bulb go off and do something off script, and the left is horrified. Damage control time, time to get the propaganda machine going, and get their minds off the facts.

Just like NATO, we pay most of the bill.

The US benefits from the EU and maintaining our gepolitical and military interests via NATO costs money. You can't get something for nothing.
