Yea, we all need to register our hands as deadly weapons, to not be able to go to public places with them. If there were less hands, the world would be a better place. We would still have to worry about criminals smuggling in hands, but if we put a ban on hands EVERYWHERE there would be no more violence.

When the criminals commit their crimes with a nail gun, or a baseball bat, or a samurai sword, or a super-soaker full of gasoline and a lighter, then what? You are back to square one. Criminals will commit their crimes using whatever they can find. So rather than blame the individuals who chose to break the law, we're going to ban a tool they used?

I know a fella whose weapon for defense is a small super soaker filled with an extremely caustic chemical that will not harm plastic.

The 2nd amendment says "arms" not "firearms", it also says keep and bear (carry). How is a "license" (unless free and given to all) not "infringement"?

I kind of agree and disagree.

I agree that Bow and Arrow is very dangerous and should be restricted.

However, I disagree with the fact that Bow and Arrow is a murderous weapon and should be banned. Although it has the ability to kill, Bow and Arrow has less lethal force compared with guns and also there are less chances of someone dying from an arrow shot than a gun shot because a bullet travels much faster than an arrow.

These are just my opinions .

On the first part, your wife is right. For everything that lives, something else must die. Imo, this is a subject which is probably closely intertwined with the human religious impulse, becaus it implies sacrifice as a necessity for life.

As for the second part, my thoughts are that pain is natural, as without it, there would be no concept of its opposite.

All these creeps pretending to be into archery are really just wannabe murderers making excuses to own dangerous weapons. Imagine the killing and maiming someone with a modern bow and a pack of arrows could do in a crowded movie theater. Why we allow people to own these dangerous weapons is a mystery to me. Screw bows and arrows think about how many people can walk into a grocery store, department store, chef/restaurant supply store or even a big box store and walk out with a big sharp kitchen knife without even showing an ID.Think about how many people a psychopath could kill in a crowded theater and worse of all this weapon doesn't require reloading,so that psychopath could just keep stabbing and slicing people left and right until he basically just tires out.
