Former Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Monday said the "unemployed" former President Trump has nothing better to do than stir up trouble following his departure from Washington.

"Here's a guy who's unemployed, has nothing else to do but cause trouble. And clearly, it's obvious to me that he's not going away," Boehner said on "The View."

Boehner was asked by co-host Sara Haines when the GOP "wake-up call" was coming, given that many current elected Republican officials refuse to condemn the former president's false claims about 2020 election fraud which Trump repeated at a gathering of Republican National Committee (RNC) officials over the weekend.

All of those Trumpsters complaining when Obama "broke" the tradition of not speaking ill of a current admin after many years, and not a peep when Trump does it almost right out of the gate.

There is a reason the media and liberals spent so much time destroying Trump and creating hatred, Trump was a threat to the liberal ideology by exposing the dependence being created. How can the bluest state in the nation lead the country in homeless, illegals, poverty, having among the worst quality of life and highest cost of living. I would be embarrassed as a liberal to have a state that hasn't had a Republican Legislature since the 60's generating these kind of results. you ever going to tell us why you support those kind of results?

As was already pointed out GDP growth under Trump was unremarkable and Trump ended his one term with a net loss in jobs.

I know Trump's history just fine. It is well documented. He got his dad's money. He has extremely little success except for the occasional scam enabled by his lies about how great he is.

Trump ****ed up the pandemic. ****ed up our economy. Enabled racism and white supremacy. None of those outcomes helped me out.

How did that affect the results generated and you? You like all liberals are clueless re the pandemic and buy rhetoric and divert blame. You can't have responsibility without authority and that authority is at the state and local level 10th amendment

He's the stereotype.

1) First he chose to believe that the economy was in the toilet, despite the GDP numbers of prior years. This legitimized his devotion to bankrupt-prone Trump as an economic savior who rode in on a white horse with a magic wand to save us all.

2) He commenced to deny the well documented rend that Trump inherited as he gave full credit to Trump for magically "creating" jobs, which legitimized his Republican belief that the rich and powerful are job creators and are his protectors.

3) He then began to pretend that no scandal mattered because only "results" matter. Never mind that he argued the "results" from a false premise and he was caught fudging numbers by a number of us.

4) With all else failing miserably, he actually resorted to trying to argue that GDP no longer mattered and that cryptocurrency was the true measurement of Trump's greatness.

5) Last year he was sure that all the black and brown people in America secretly loved Trump and that his re-election was a sure bet.

6) He also resorted to arguing that economy was tanked only because of COVID, ignoring the 2.3% GDP in 2019, which was lower than five prior years. But you know, by that time, GDP no longer mattered to him.


And all along he told people that they "don't understand civics," they don't take personal "responsibility," and tried to promote himself as not a Trump worshipper, but just a sincere American who appreciates "results."
