Why do you suppose they or anyone else for that matter fill election vacancies that nobody wants? It makes no sense to take a GOP ballot line in a Chicago race or the Democrat line in Dahlonega, GA. It was amusing though back when Lyndon LaRouche's cult followers won Democrat primaries running against people with non-Anglo last names. Fruitcakes have a right to run for office.

I would never vote for them, but they have equal protection under the law to get on the ballot. The alternative is a potential for Venezuela-style denial of ballot access. If voters are THAT stupid, the viability of representative government is in question.
