Do you find yourself drawn more to people older than yourself, younger than yourself or it never really crossed your mind?

I know we all have personal preferences when it comes to romantic relationships, but if you had a choice - which do you prefer?

It's all about the person, age doesn't matter to me.

I'm 22, my gf is 31... don't matter to me.

Hasn't occurred to me. Though all of the people I've dated have been around the same age as me. Within 2 years.

older ones....i am extra large for younger ones

Historically speaking I've mostly been with women near my age, although it really doesn't matter to me. I carried out the saying "get 'em young, get 'em early" when I married my wife when she was in high school (we were both 19, German highschools are 13 years).

Had to lock that down before she went off to college. ;)

When I got married, my husband was 24 years older than I. Biggest mistake I ever made in my life. We had a good marriage . . . he passed away . . . but I would never recommend it to anyone. Tommy Boy? He's one year older. Same music...same childhoods...same generational values...despite what people may think, those similarities are an important part of relationships.

Edit: Not the biggest mistake I ever made in my life...that doesn't come off right. We faced a myriad of problems throughout our marriage because of this huge age difference. He'd already had a family, so we didn't have children. Things like that.

Generally, younger ... although older doesn't matter ...

Men will generally go for the younger and vice versa for females.

I'm in my early 20's.

The age group I'm interested in is between [-5, +3]; 17/18-25/26.

Older, I've never dated someone younger than me. Not intentional, but it just seems to happen.

I am generally actually sexually attracted to women a little older, yet end up dating younger ones.

Anything in the sort of 18-50 range (except 44 of course).

I really dont have a preference beyond that, its the person & their inner age, not their Mayan age, that counts.

My preference has generally been for women who are my age or younger. My soon-to-be-fiance is almost 7 years younger than I am.

There is a level of emotional maturity in women that occurs around 30-35....they are less likely to be too demanding of their man, knowing by then that men are pigs.
For men, that age of emotional maturity starts at around age 60, when the boners are less frequent and take longer to achieve.
It's why there are so many cougars out there, or so I've heard.....

i have generally dated younger, but i don't draw any lines in the sand about it. that's just the way it has always turned out. depends on the person.

For me age isn't too big a deal, however, I would cut the limit off at around 10 years older or 2 years younger.

When I dated it was not important. My wife is 40 days younger than me and my mother was 4 months older than my father. Is this a TREND?

Definite preference for the same general age.

I'm convinced that from 16-30 it's all practice but other than for a totally casual thing I would be hard pressed to date anyone under mid to late 30's or beyond mid to late 50's. I have no desire to be anybody's "sugar daddy" or their caretaker.

I've dated gals that were half my age, and women that were several years older, and everything in between.

Age is not a deciding factor for me. Mostly I just like someone who is interesting to talk with, good company, has some sense, is nice to me, and ain't hard to look at. :)

I'm not really all that age-conscious, but my GF is nearly five years older than me, and if I am to be perfectly honest, I find myself attracted to older chicks. It is not a physical thing (I find lots of younger chicks hot,) but I find older women are better company. They are more mature, have done loads of stuff, and can talk about much more interesting things.

Sounds like many of you speak from experience. I can't do that, my wife hasn't let me date since Oct. 13, 1967....

I have gone out with 4 women since my marriage broke up, and all 4 were within 6 months of my own age. Right now, I'm seeing an older woman -- by 11 days.

When you get to be an old fart it's nice to find old fartesses so you can both reminisce about those good old days you can't remember.

I've always been attracted to older guys. Don't know why. Even when I was younger, I was attracted to older guys. No, I don't have daddy issues LOL.

I worry about my husband, because his health isn't so great, but then if I had married a younger guy with health issues, it'd be the same way, so it's nothing to do with his age.

since Oct. 13, 1967....

I just love reading about someone who has kept with the same partner for many years. 1967.. wow.

I married a woman 10 years younger but that marriage broke up and then I dated women older and younger than me. My partner (mother of my last child) is 14 years younger than me - she was 27 when we met. I've had an extra spring in my step for the last 7 years now.
