  • ....The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

Thanks for sharing that quote! It touched me deeply ... and increased my appreciation for you! I lost my 2nd oldest child on May 5th this year, age 26, a kick-ass cute smart daughter unable to regain a normal life after cracking her skull in a motorcycle accident 4 years ago. I also lost a basketball peer unexpectedly Sept. 26 to throat cancer, age 51, someone I hooped it with for 20+ years. I do my last two push ups everyday in their memory.

Thank you for your Service. All the Best to you and yours,

    Trippy T
OCS, nice. I wish you the best of luck in that. It goes, new job working for the Army, so weird being a civvie on an ARMY base, I'll adjust.
Hey! Crazy, but pretty good overall. Slowly pulling life back together after the London move. How've you been? How you coming with writing?
Yeah, I finished my math major. I got a job with a bank, and now I'm actually back in school for computer programming as well. I'm trying to get a certificate from NC State. It's pretty tough though, lol.
I'm sorry to hear that about finding a job. I know how tough that can be. Best of luck, and give 'em hell out here on the boards.
What's up! I'm doing pretty well. I got a little busy and forgot about this place, but then when I saw republicans were going against net neutrality, I knew this place would be a load of fun. And I gotta say it hasn't disappointed! They are as crazy as ever!

    How have you been?
Life is generally good. I got a bit drunk last night because I have three senior managers fighting over my time (one for me to be their lead tech, two to be a manager) and that's just too many. I like only having one manager. They really should ask me what I want.

But I didn't want it bothering me all weekend, so I did a bit of explosive decompression :)
I have a hard time finding any new shows I really like. I just rewatched all three seasons of Classic Star Trek on Netflix. How about you? Any recommendations?
Hey, Mr. I. Good to hear from you. I'm good. Same stuff, different day, y'know. How are you?
Ack! That's disappointing of them. Employers looking to fill those positions, really, really, mis-represent them to get people to interview. I'm sure your resume attracted them with all the things you are into. I'm glad you have other leads. Good luck with those! :)
Excellent! It's great they sought you out, seems like they are eager to hire you. In this era, it's nice to hear that you have so many job offers. So many people I know are scrambling to find work or terribly underemployed.

Good luck! And it's easy to see why they like you. :)
Argh! I let this go because I got busy and forgot to get back to it. I'm sorry.

That's terrific! I hope you get it! :) Is it in the field of journalism?
Hey you! I saw you around and was thinking how are you doing? I'm great! Weather is sometimes overly warm, but it's been a good summer. You?
