a political quiz says to be in a different part than i currently am!

has any one took one of these political quiz's to see what party it says you should belong to?
i took this one for fun and it says i should be a Libertarian. i will admit i dont know much about that party and it has made me curious to learn more.

Libertarians. They are what the GOP pretends they are. EXTREMELY fiscally conservative, small government party. No department of education. No IRS. Almost no government agency aside form the Department of defense and even that is cut way back. Socially though, they are very very liberal.

This quiz thinks I belong to the Greens. How droll.

how very odd.... the quiz ( as flawed as it is) put me right where I am... the Libertarian party.

less government, less intrusion, less intervention, more freedom, baby.

The given answer for the quiz are just bad most of the time.

yes... we follow the Constitution that other parties crap on.

It thinks I should be libertarian, but no thanks. Like a couple of other supposed polls out there, I'm willing to bet this is weighted toward libertarianism, designed to make people think they are something that clearly they are not.

Whoever made that quiz had a majorly simplistic view of every political philosophy. I would not give it much credence.

Like the multiple choice question with four answers in favor of gun rights and one answer in favor of gun control?

I came out as Green Party. I guess that fits somewhat. Hell of a lot closer than the Dem's anyway.

It's a quiz, guys. Of course it's not going to be able to accurately predict your politics with a dozen questions.

Not shockingly, it put me in libertarians. It doesn't accommodate any variance within that party, though. It would be nice to have a quiz that specifies where you are out of party and what lean it is towards, even if we really know. I'm certainly not a text book libertarian.

i was just messing around with it. i came across it and thought it would be fun.
what if some one really took the time to consult with all the different party's and make a real one?

i think that would be a pretty good idea!

I attend regular Libertarian meetup groups, and have for the last 4 or 5 years ( except when i'm out of the country)... one thing i've found is that there is no such thing as a textbook Libertarian.

Independent -- "Free like an eagle, you belong to no single political party".

I'm a centrist, so that makes sense -- centrists haven't had party representation for .. ever.

Fair point! I guess I was meaning that you couldn't read the libertarian webpage and know how I feel on any given topic. I'm sure that's probably more common in the libertarian party than others, but just commonly true, as well.
