2015 NFL Season

Yeah, with Dalton out the Bengals got big problems. I watched some of that game, AJ is not the answer.

Got to wonder when QB's will learn not to make tackles after Ints. or fumbles.

“discount double-check”

Someone needs to teach NFL referee Tony Corrente to keep his mic turned off after the play ends.
For the second time in his career, Corrente was heard over the live stadium mic using curse words not suitable for prime-time.
Near the very end of Sunday’s game between the Panthers and the Falcons, a measurement for a first down came up short. Corrente, with his hand-operated mic turned up so everyone in the stadium could hear, joked with fellow officials that they should give the linesman a hard time for making them work a little longer.
“We’re going to give him (expletive),” Corrente said, his voice booming all over the stadium, if not live television.
He went on and on.
“Four more inches and we could be going home.” he said, laughing. “Mr. Four Inches.”
In 2012, Corrente was heard on a live mic taking the Lord’s name in vain while talking to a fellow official.
This time, it was reminiscent of the “discount double-check” commercial in which a fan tells the official his mic is on. No one told Corrente. Everyone was listening to him put his foot in his mouth.
Once again.

Note to referee: Double-check your mic next time - Winston-Salem Journal: Carolinapanthers

ooops! no souperbowl for you

Funny thing about Dalton's tackle is he seemed to be trying to do it 'safely'. Hit the guy low, didn't lead with his head. But somehow his thumb hits the guys knee and boom, he might be done for the season.

the latest report is he does not need surgery. won't play next weekend but after that-perhaps

I haven't heard yet where the fracture on his thumb is. I'm no doctor but IMO if the fracture is high on the thumb it may not be much of problem, then he might miss just a couple of weeks. BUT if the fracture is down near the joint, then we're talking about him having a problem gripping the ball. Then he might be done for the year.

Beckham has lost his head.

If I was Coughlin I would have benched him. I don't care who it is, act like that and put your own agenda and emotions ahead of the team? You're on the bench.

But Coughlin is a strange guy. He's got this disciplinarian rep, but he really isn't. He lost control of the Giants a couple of years ago. The 2 SB rings is the only reason he's still there.

If AJ plays the rest of the regular season like he did yesterday, then it's "next man up."

Denver losing yesterday puts the Pat's one step closer to that #1 seed. Would love to have that tied up this weekend so we can rest players for the final game, so many injuries and that week 4 bye week is always a killer. A couple of weeks off for our starters would be just what they need,

Bet they lose next week as they rest players for the playoff now that they've secured their spot

I don't think they've clinched the #2 seed yet though. One win or one GB loss will do it.

Right now I doubt anyone in the NFC wants to play the Seahawks in the playoffs, and in the AFC no one wants to see the Steelers. Both teams offenses are red hot.

Nobody fears the Patriots this year. Other than playing Pittsburgh in the opening game of the year and Pittsburgh outplaying them but still losing, the Patriots have played nobody of consequence this year and other than against Jacksonville, all their games have been close. For a Super Bowl winning team, the Patriots have had the easiest schedule I've ever seen. It's as if they decided to go easy on them because of Deflategate.

The Steelers, by contrast, have had to play all the best teams in the league with the exception of Carolina, and have beaten Arizona, Cincinnati and Denver, losing close games to New England and Seattle both on the road. What have the Patriots done?

New England should enjoy their playoff bye because they're going to have their hands full if they have to play either Pittsburgh or Kansas City in their first playoff game.

I'm confused - you're dissing the Eagles and calling for Cousins to throw 4 picks on Saturday? Are you a Giants fan?

I'm dissing the Eagles....

I'm a Redskins fan. Which means I want to talk ****, but I recognize that the moment I start to do that my team will likely **** the bed. ;)

Cousins looks pretty good to me. The Redskins got off the schneid on the road last week, granted in Chicago, but neither Philly nor the Giants are all that much better and seems to me they should be able to pick up one of those next two games.

I'm looking forward to watching the Redskins host the Seahawks on Wildcard weekend. Should be a good game and I think Washington has enough talent on offense to win it. Steelers picked apart the Seattle defense so Washington has the playbook to follow to do it too.

This is absolutely the proper attitude a true football fan should demonstrate in support of his or her team. One must wait until the team wins something truly big before starting all the smack. Otherwise, it'll just jump up and bite you in the ass. It's almost like your favorite team turns and points directly at you personally and says, "This is all your fault."

I'm a Washington fan. I know all to well how much the Football Gods love to punish those who get overjoyed and revel while success happens.....such as how they gave us a Football Savior and then ripped him away in a single season that's basically tailor made for a 30 for 30 ten years from now.

Pats pick up Steven Jackson on a one year deal. Could be perfect for the playoffs.

This whole Carolina/NYG game has become so god damn weird now.

No on fears the 12-2 defending super bowl champions?
Give me a break.
