It's a very red state. If Manchin doesn't fill that Senate seat, there is little doubt a Republican will. What value do you think Dems would gain with a primary challenger to Manchin?

Well, the extremely advanced folks in the All Caucasian White Privilege Utopia of West Virginia certainly would never vote for any more liberal candidate, that seat in all likelihood would go to a Republican even if Manchin were to be primaried and that aint happening.

He's seen as a hero there now for protecting the common folk from the evils of Socialist Dentalcare.(y)

OK, let's try a little harder, the Haris are in West Virginia.

It's a pretty screwed up place, the guru fell down and died in prison for racketeering. Heavy place.

In India there is the pituitary and the pineal, Navadvip and Vrindaban. In Navadvip your service is amplified a thousand times, but in Vrindaban, your offenses are also amplified. New Navadvip is in Honolulu, and New Vrindaban is in Moundsville.

I should go there and run for his Seat.

Smashing place.

Because he's a habit, and whoever he would lose to in a primary wouldn't be elected, and they need a D in the Senate.

The only way to primary Manchin is by electing more Dems in other states to negate his and Sinema's con votes. Then the 50% he, and presumably Sinema, votes will be overcome by at least a 52 seat plus VP Dem majority in the Senate.

So, we need as many Democrats as possible in the Senate and in the House, Democrat too?

What will they do? Spank the Republicans?

Manifest destiny, get it out there on the wire.

Last chance to have a Theocracy?

It is very unusual for a party to go against an incumbent.

We see it today with Republicans who are not showing personal fealty to one man, which is also quite unusual in a democracy.

The REAL question is, "Why doesn't Manchin leave the Democrat Party".
Because he is a moderate and Biden needs him to keep the extreme left from pulling him further left. If the Republican moderates would help Biden then we could move even more to the center.

Well, maybe we should get some practice too.

As you've been told and will be told again, nobody left of Manchin could ever win in WV.

Running someone to the RIGHT of him wouldn't be a great idea either. They'd probably defect to the Republican party on the first day of sitting.

And furthermore, Manchin has done what any politician is supposed to do, which is represent the people who voted for him. The state is right wing, but they'll probably still vote for him in 2024 (?) because what is infuriating to Democrats is gratifying to the majority of voters in WV.

I wonder how hard Democrats have tried to buy Manchin off with pork for his state? Build a billion dollar Coal Museum there, or something like that.

Perhaps the real question is: why did the party leave (the moderate) Manchin and try to become the NASCAR (go fast and turn left) party?

Manchin's not just a moderate. He's further right than some Republicans.
