Prove it.........

In California the minimum liability insurance requires $50,000 medical coverage. It's da law. New York was the same. Floriduh! and Idaho and Connecticut, other states where I've registered motor vehicles had similar requirements.

Or did you want me to prove that statement about brain damage? That would require a poll about you in the basement. Not doing it.

Is that PL/PD? Cause that is what I had.

If they're expecting to tap my wallet to pay for their inadequacies, then yes, they are parasites.

Great, then you will admit that Wal-Mart and like-minded corporations that don't provide adequate health care coverage for their employees are creating a class of citizen parasites, as you would call them?

The self employed and independent contractors must also be parasites.

Florida requires $10,000 personal injury coverage and the insurance company decides what they will compensate you for after the fact. Wouldn't have helped Billo in the hospital with a busted head.

Well, I'm not the expert, but I'm gonna guess that he'd say yes, they are indeed, parasites. ;)

You and I disagree more than we agree. I can't say that I even like you. But I will say that your post is a text book example of how to properly debate a subject and I compliment you on that.

Thanks! I don't know you personally so I cant really say thats enough to like or dislike anyone but I certainly appreciate your input. Debating with you has definitely helped me reaffirm a few of my core beliefs and expand on some others. I think that learning something is what this is all about.

Recently I've heard a lot of people talk about how Dick Cheney is really the guy pulling the strings and Bush is more of a publicity figure. What are your thoughts on this?
Once you start down that rabbit hole, you can't stop until you get to the Illuminati, Lizard People living under the Denver Airport, alien manipulation and intergalactic genetic/social-political conspiracy's from Zeta Reticuli.

Unless you are prepaired to all the way down, just shut up.

Sticking with the blue pill eh?

Stop the presses! Most of these concepts are about as outlandish as they come, but are you telling me that the Lizard People don't exist?

Don't be stupid. Parasites only exist where hosts exists. The reason the health-care parasites exist is because government provides the service.

Wal-Mart is running a business. If the employees don't like the wages and benefits, they're not forced to stay.

If they have their lips glued to the public health-care tit, they're health-care parasites.

many pardons if this has been stated before, but i wanted to reply before reading the thread

Bush is not a front man simply because he is so inarticulate
if you are going to have a puppet he would be more like Clinton
Clinton was charming, charismatic and spoke well publicly
While Bush was the guy i would rather have a beer with compared to kerry
i would choose Clinton over bush and i hate clinton
to have a beer with anyways, because you know you are going to score as Clintons Wingman
My cousin happens to be one of his Secret Service agents, and while he despises clintons politics, he enjoys his company, and finds him a likable person
personality-wise, not ethics-wise

And i would not be surprised if Hillary was the Puppetmaster of his administration
she did say, afterall, "We are the President"

apologies
looks like i got here too late
this thread has already been derailed :doh

To say that the Bush Administration is not corrupt is quite a pollyannic statement.

Oh, bull***** the republicans have cut college funding down to nothing. You have to pay back your loan. You have no idea what you're talking about. Luckily, I'm a nurse and I won't have to worry about a job, but I'll tell you what, I'm paying back student loans.

silly wabbit :2rofll:
LOANS are always paid back
Grants are free money that is not paid back

Those guys are just puppets for something else

"The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson."
A letter written by FDR to Colonel House, November 21st, l933

"The real rulers in Washington are invisible, and exercise power from behind the scenes."
Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, 1952

"Fifty men have run America, and that's a high figure."
Joseph Kennedy, father of JFK, in the July 26th, l936 issue of The New York Times.

"Today the path of total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by the Congress, the President, or the people. Outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government - a bureaucratic elite.
Senator William Jenner, 1954

I got into a head on collision on time with no insurance. I was taken to a trauma center where they wrapped my head up, threw a phone on my lap and told me, "Call someone, we need the bed!"

thats pretty funny
because i had a headon collision in 96
herniated disc broken bones, and guess what
Allstate paid for everything: MRIs xrays, drugs, rehab, 3 docs for 6 months and a chiropractor for 1 year
not one dime out of my pocket
but than again i ALWAYS have Full coverage, with a minimum of 100k/300k coverage

maybe having the right insurance would have been cost effective for you too

So folks who do not have decent health insurance or the money to pay for their family's healthcare out of pocket should be doing what.....exactly? Living unwell? Dying?

they should get better job skills so they can either get a job with insurance benefits or be able to afford them on their own
It really is that simple
everything else is just excuses

immigrants, for whom scrubbing our toilets is a more productive life than any job they could have at home

or

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOSERS who choose not to take advantage of the greatest country in History

So if that immigrant catches amoebic dysentary, left in his workplace by a "winner," such as yourself, fresh from a winter vacation in Cancun....he should do what then? Pull himself up by his bootstraps?
