I trust that a successful businessman like Donald Trump is about as honest as any other businessman, which is to say, 10 times as honest as any politician.
Hillary Clinton is a major-league liar, almost as bad as Barack Obama in that department, and just a shade worse than Richard Nixon was.
Which one can be trusted to do right by the nation, above their own self interest?
It is indeed a classic 'lesser of two evils' scenario, but clearly Donald Trump get this Independent's vote this year.
There are a lot of unknowns about the man, but I feel strongly that he means well, and that he'll shake up the Washington DC insider cabal that has been strangling this country for decades.
The knowns are the troubling thing about Hillary Clinton; She's demonstrably-corrupt, dishonest, and self-serving.
Hillary Clinton is dead in the middle of that crooked Washington DC cabal, and she belongs in prison, in my opinion.
And please bear in mind that I have voted for roughly an equal number of Democrat Presidential candidates over the years as I have Republican.
And I even voted for H Ross Perot one year.
I'm not even sure what sort of affiliation he was, but he was better than the (D) and the (R) choices that year.
Not sure about this guy Gary Johnson.
I lean libertarian more than the next guy, but I just don't see him getting enough traction.
I'm afraid that my vote for him would be a wasted vote, or worse yet, would help put Hillary Clinton back into the White House.
Which would be an unmitigated disaster.
