What about a Burka, that would solve the problem.

well make the crim wear them as well:lol:For both the men and the women? Wouldn't that make it hard to chase after criminals?
if no men can wear them, white or black, what's the issue here?
really? are you sure black male officers wear cornrows in philly?
no, it didn't report that. did you miss this?:
so it's not been determined if black men are allowed to wear cornrows.
Friar mate to be serious, if black officers are allowed to wear the hair style in question, then I agree with you.Interestingly enough, those are banned by the same police department and had a case in 2007 about it.
To me this cornrow thing is obviously racism. I' seeing reports where dozens of black male officers are allowed to have cornrows.
I don't use the BS term "reverse racism", because racism doesn't have a preset direction.

White Philly officer told to get rid of cornrows

(snip...)
Police spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore says Strain's boss told the officer to cut his hair to look more "professional."
Vanore says officers' hats must fit "in a military manner" over their hair, and that Strain's hat did not. Strain got a haircut; he declined comment to the paper.
Vanore recalled only one black officer with braids in the past several years. He says that officer also was told to get a haircut.

I didn't see any reports about dozens of black male officers, only dozens of black officers.
I may have read it wrong, but in my world, Sexism and racism are equally bad.
They've already admitted to the sexism.
Sorry, military and para-military and just regular, organizations have different hair regulations for men and women. Expecting a woman to conform to male norms is what is sexist.

I never said they should conform to male norms. I said they should have the same standards. Such as the hat fitting a certain way, or looking professional.
A style of haircut like cornrows doesn't magically become more professional looking or allow a hat to be worn a specific way if it's situated above a set of tits.
Sexism is no better than racism.
It makes NO difference what sex the other corn-rowed officers are.
Yes, it does. Just as in the military tied up hair for women is acceptable for women, but not for men.
And, tits have nothing to do with it. A woman with no tits (mastectomy or otherwise) still adheres to the standard for women and not for men.
It is racist and sexist of you to raise these issues! Or was it racist and sexist to single out the pasty pale guy? I get confused.
If the standard is, as was clearly stated, that hats should fit a certain way, it should apply to both genders. That's just common sense. Changing it for one gender, but not the otehr, is obvious sexism.
Well, if we're going to play that way, these haircuts do not magically become less professional or less able to allow a hat to be worn a certain way if they're situated a few feet above a ****.
Yes it does, since regs are different for men and women, reflecting norms in our society, and such regs have never been statutorily determined to be sexist.
However, reading an article about dozens of black officers, and imputing that it means dozens of black male officers does reveal a gender bias.
Sorry, expecting a woman to conform to male norms is what is sexist.
