What’s with this nonsensical bullshit that some say Obama was “born in Kenya”.

Birtherism seems downright quaint compared to the crap we now have to deal with on a daily basis

Just so we are clear, it was HilLIARy and Clueless Joe that started the birther crap in the first place.

We get it, hillary has made you people do lots of things you otherwise would't have.

Its as if you haven't a mind of your own, someone else always "made you do it".

Specifically this part;

There are just too many very intelligent people who question things like this.

No. There are no intelligent people who STILL question or promote the birther rhetoric after all this time. None.

If someone is still a birther and continues to tout the birther rhetoric and subscribe to the birther conspiracy theories, they are a complete moron. No ifs, buts, or maybes.

The fact is we dont know for certain where he was born.

Trump supporting conservatives have become the crazy uncles of the political world.

The part of the group that can be fooled all of the time.

Nope....which, btw, is another lie pushed by trump's cultists.

Trying to delegitimize the first black president by claiming he's not a real American, despite loads of evidence to the contrary is fundamentally racist and the vast majority of them knew it was. The handful of people that didn't were just idiots.

The story began because the publisher of one of Mr. Obama's autobiographies wrote in a blurb on the book that he was born in Kenya.
He has subsequently apologized for the mistake.

The issue was settled when a Hawaii newspaper article announcing the birth was discovered and Obama released his birth certificate.

First off, everybody knows that I’m a conservative here. So please don’t assume because I make this statement that I’m not one. Secondly, Obama being “born in Kenya” is just as much nonsense as “we faked the moon landing” or “9/11 was an inside job” and all the rest of the idiotic conspiracy theories. Yes I do think that Alex Jones is an idiotic lunatic. (Alex Jones endorsing drinking strange products like drinking bone juice only further prove that!). And even if Obama actually was born in Kenya, he has an American mother; therefore he was still eligible to run for president. But there’s also too much evidence to support that Obama was born in Hawaii.

I agree with you that the idea that even if Obama had been born out of the country, it would not have made a difference as his mother was an American.

Now saying that, the original idea came from an editor of his book that put it in his bio and was never corrected.

When people see it in black and white, they have a right to question it. If there was no media buzz surrounding it and I read it in his own book, I would believe it as well.

The man has to take responsibility for what was printed on his behalf.

The biggest exporter of this conspiracy theory is none other than Donald Trump.
Where have you been, living under a rock?

all he has to do is show his birth certificate! the real one!
The LONGEST FORM birth certificate that will say heis born in Kenya and is a Muslim Communist Atheist who hates America!

When did any white President ever have to show his birth certificate? Microfilm records from the Honolulu newspaper had Obama's birth announcement in it. There was never any doubts about his birthplace. It was entirely a racist hoax and Trump found out then what a bunch of deplorable rubes Republicans were and are.

You just called 51% of Republicans morons......and rightly so. Most are ignorant rubes. That is why they vote for Trump too.

If you thought birtherism was over, you thought wrong.
Survey results released by YouGov Friday show that 51 percent of Republicans said they think former President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, compared to just 14 percent of Democrats. Perhaps unsurprisingly, respondents who voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election were especially convinced of Obama's African origins: Fully 57 percent said it was "definitely true" or "probably true" that the 44th president came from Kenya.

The data—which included responses from 1,500 adults polled between December 3 and 5—proves that the birtherism conspiracy theory is alive and well, despite the fact that Obama hasn't been in office for nearly 11 months. And Trump may be to blame.

Serenity, if someone continues to believe the birther theory after all evidence they present of it has been proven wrong, then yes, I agree with you. But if they don't believe the proof, then that doesn't make them a "racist"--it only makes them stubborn.

There are black astronauts, but that doesn't make anyone who disbelieves NASA a "racist."

Racism is terrible, but we can't use it as a convenient weapon to use against people with whom we simply disagree.

Agreed. When Obama was starting his first term, all we heard was "if you don't agree with Obama, then you're a racist". Race had absolutely ZERO to do with my dislike. I usually retort with this: " If Obama were a solid Conservative Republican and his Dem. rival was a lily white Liberal loon, would you still support Obama?"

Nobody ever said that to you.

Why do so many Fox News Republicans need to create and attack their own strawmen, rather than actually showing a shred of manhood and responding to living, breathing people?

No, I have had that said to me right in my face quite a few times as I was out and about back then. Sorry to burst your bubble, buddy.

No, you haven't.

Let's come back to reality for a little while.

Here, you start.

Trying typing a post that has no bullshit in it. Sounds fun, right?

Okay, ready?

Go.

You can STFU for all I care. I had it happen on numerous occasions. And each time I posed that question? Crickets!

Why do you think your question is difficult to answer? If you had really, honestly asked that question, instead of simply imagining it, most Democrats would have immediately answered, "I'd support the candidate whose politics most closely resemble mine, so I'd go with the white liberal."

Why does your brain think that's a hardball question again?

The doubts were created by Obama's publisher, who inadvertently wrote in the book that Obama was born in Kenya.
In 2008, John McCain also had a citizenship issue raised, given that he was born in the Panama Canal zone.
You guys want to see racism where none exists.
