West Point won’t punish cadets in raised-fist photo[W:301]

Re: West Point won’t punish cadets in raised-fist photo

It isn't hard to say that Newton and Seale were communist, racist black nationalists, traitors to the country and criminals.
Read about the individuals and what you will find is they really werent any of those things. They were selfish. They were politicians. They exploited a time and a 'movement'. I dont know that I would go beyond that with either of them.

Which part of it is insulting? Report it if you wish. I make no apologies for telling you what I think of your positions.

apdst want the administration to bail him out before he looks even more foolish.

Re: West Point won’t punish cadets in raised-fist photo

That doesnt appear to be a response to the question posed. Getting to 'there' is easy enough. You know the drill.

The offer is there until midnight. Don't disappoint me. ;)

:yawn

No worries. You know the path to getting there. Starts with you answering the actual question you chimed in on. Nothings changed. Except of course your post count. 51 and counting and you still refuse to answer the question.

I haven't seen anything to suggest that they weren't any of those things.

They founded the Black Panther Party for Self Defense, with a goal of violent revolution against The United States government to create a seperate black nation. That sounds like secession, too.

Re: West Point won’t punish cadets in raised-fist photo

So, only people who attend military academies to have an opinion.Question, if you are so knowledgeable, why does the leadership of West Point disagree with you. Evidently, you don't know nearly as much as you think you do.

I worked with Navy Cadets every summer for 20 years. I also lectured hundreds of Army Cadets for small small boat maintenance squadrons. I interacted with a few thousand Cadets and know what they go through and how they are required to behave.

Re: West Point won’t punish cadets in raised-fist photo

more right wing demonizing, even your local high schoolers use it

You're the one that made a factual claim. Now, back it up

The only thing West Point and I disagree on is the degree of punishment.

Violent revolution wasn't advocated until 69 and not by its original founders (unless you have some evidence otherwise).

I believe that had the BPP continued as a political entity the black community today would be in much better shape.

The panthers were formed in 1966. I'm 1967 Newton murdered a cop. Terrorism, armed resistence, criminal.

Read revolutionary suicide.

I just caught it, you are a southerner...by birth?

Oh, now you're going to employ bigotry?

No doubt the individuals were flawed beings. Their character and actions were responsible for the eventual de-evolution of the movement. They didn't advocate violent revolution til 69.

Wow. The bowing to the left continues.

It is against regulations to engage in political activity while in your dress uniform. Period.

The Superintendent of the Academy reviews the circumstances and concluded that it was all an innocent prank with no political overtones, and merely represented a sense of "unity". yeah......right

Nothing like a good double standard in order to keep things politically correct. We must ignore the obvious; look at a picture and ignore basic rational thinking. That's what the nation has become.

LOL
Total nonissue

West Point made its decision and Im good with that.

You might--a big might IMO--be able to make that claim about Seales and Newton, but it's incorrect to broad brush the black panthers as not being any of those things.

To the contrary...I can't make the argument of the organization without proof.

Sure, but it's still incorrect. :)
