So, were these folks Donnie's "good workers", or were they the "criminals"?
I was just pointing out the ICE enforcement actions are nationwide. So, were these folks Donnie's "good workers", or were they the "criminals"?
The only American president to create concentration camps was a Democrat.
As a victim of both in our state, I don't disagree, but law enforcement only has so much bandwidth. I may not like it, but I understand it.
You missed the point entirely.
If you have a cancerous mass that is causing wounds to fester on the surface, do you treat the wounds and ignore the cancerous mass, or do you remove the cancerous mass while also treating the wounds? Do you prioritize tissue that is not healing, or tissue that already has some cellular regeneration?
I'm not arguing ignoring illegal immigrants entirely, but the bigger issues should be addressed with higher priority, and not all illegal immigrants are the same. Some are well trained and providing valuable labor, and replacing them can be more costly than helping them find a legal path to continue providing that labor while also being given the protections they deserve as workers.
Maybe you ought to follow your own advice. The raid was Tuesday his tweet saying they should be left alone was today. My bet is this company and others got to him.
No you weren't. You were giving me a shot that was a swing and a miss. Guess you missed his latest TACOI was just pointing out the ICE enforcement actions are nationwide.
You misunderstood the analogy. The wounds on the surface are the illegal immigrants you're wanting to remove. The cancer is what brought them to our country. That's the situation we face with immigration. I think it's an apt analogy to what you're suggesting, which is treating the wounds and ignoring the cancer.Bad analogy since the conditions (presumably?) exist in a single patient already present. Otherwise, the choice is whether to treat anyone seeking treatment for a malady less severe than advanced cancer until no such patients exist anywhere.
Now yours is a bad analogy. Shoplifters and vandals are detrimental to our society while many illegal immigrants support our society. Many shoplifters and vandals are otherwise productive members of society, yet that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be arrested, tried and sentenced if found guilty.
Still though......were theose ones criminals or good workers?I was just pointing out the ICE enforcement actions are nationwide.
I don’t hang on President Trump’s latest word. Guess he lives rent free in Canada. No you weren't. You were giving me a shot that was a swing and a miss. Guess you missed his latest TACO
If they violated immigration law, that would make them criminals.Still though......were theose ones criminals or good workers?

Come on now.If they violated immigration law, that would make them criminals.

@ttwtt78640 wont see this but.I would like to have an eVerify mandate, coupled with changes to the FIT code, allowing the IRS to act as the primary enforcement mechanism. If the (W-2 and 1099) employment ‘magnet’ was removed then many (if not most) ‘undocumented’ immigrants would elect to self-deport.
The why have any immigration laws? Obviously, having more (unlimited?) third-world labor available would save US ‘job creators’ loads of money.
HOOT!!! Maybe do a little googling before embarrassing yourself.I don’t hang on President Trump’s latest word. Guess he lives rent free in Canada.
Did they violate immigration law? If so, they are criminals, not matter what their work ethic is.Come on now.
You know what trump means when he talks about going after the criminals, not the good workers who are also illegals.
can you adress my question?
That was strike one, care to try again?
We have been repeatedly told by our resident liberals that states are not required to assist in Federal immigration enforcement.@ttwtt78640 wont see this but.
Texas' conservative Legislature has again and again refused to mandate that most private businesses use E-Verify. Experts say that Republican resistance is rooted in how the system could impact the state's labor supply and economy.

Texas won’t force private companies to use E-Verify to check workers’ immigration status, despite leaders’ tough talk

The W-2/IRS/FIT approach isn't a bad end goal, but we need a way to get there that doesn't do more harm than good. No matter what we do to enforce immigration laws more strictly, we need a transition period to get there because otherwise, we lose valuable workers with no plan in place to train and replace them. That hurts businesses, our economy, and undermines family values our constitution tries to protect.I would like to have an eVerify mandate, coupled with changes to the FIT code, allowing the IRS to act as the primary enforcement mechanism. Lol.Did they violate immigration law? If so, they are criminals, not matter what their work ethic is.
If they were granted temporary asylum status they receive a valid work permit after a wait time. Millions have that status. They aren't illegal .If they violated immigration law, that would make them criminals
That is different from the illegal criminal aliens that the Democrats are rioting to protect. If they were granted temporary asylum status they receive a valid work permit after a wait time. Millions have that status.
Nope, it's not. Those were the migrants that were arrested going to their court hearings and in the work place. Broaden your information sources, Fox withholds a lot of important information. No Democrat oppose the arrest and deportation of actual criminals. That is different from the illegal criminal aliens that the Democrats are rioting to protect.
If you believe that's what the protests are about, you're missing the reason for the protests. You ignore the underlying issue in all of this, as many of you have throughout with Garcia and CECOT concerns. This isn't about protecting criminals or the way our immigration system currently exists with all its flaws. It's about protecting human rights, our constitution, and what our country was founded on. Many see it as a patriotic duty to uphold U.S. values. That is different from the illegal criminal aliens that the Democrats are rioting to protect.
