That's because Antifa are anarchist or communist. Either way, they are an extremist fringe group and no friends to anyone, certainly not Dems or liberals, as evidenced by the fact that they routinely attack liberals, too.
Now, with Charlottesville way off in the rear view mirror, they're desperately searching for relevancy.
Let’s see if anything happens tomorrow. Likely nothing at all, or only a few loons with no lives who are dealt with easily and swiftly by local PD.Problem is they are showing screen caps of the website and twitter feeds. I'm sure they are the only ones talking about it because the major media lost their story about evil kids in red hats and white skin. Probably won't be any coverage because of the skin color of the victims. But that doesn't mean it's not all over the crazy group's website and feed.
And the media are complicit in spreading disinformation via a heavily edited video, because stirring unrest makes them money. This is a dangerous situation. Look how they fanned the flames concerning confederate statues, which resulted in a fatality.
That's a stupid thing to say even for you.

Antifa thugs. NAs who falsely accuse white boys of being racist beasts. What could go wrong?
Actually not really.
Number of things I agree with Fishking on: ZERO
Number of things I agree with Fishking on as of 4:39 PM: ONE!
Antifa are worthless cowards, and even though, in the past, one or two very loud and messy anarchist groups have actually managed to transition to a position of leadership, there's no hope or evidence that Antifa ever will, because it is not something they're interested in. They're only interested in attacking and destroying anything that isn't them.
What??? Name an anarchist group that actually did something worthwhile once they got any positive attention?
To my memory: TWO
ActUP! Code Pink.
Both are now actually attempting to take a seat at the table. Both groups deserve a lot of credit for bringing marriage equality to the forefront, even if they did it in a very messy way.
Antifa? Not a chance...ever.
Thank you Fishking. Spot on.

Showing up to basketball games in blackface is apparently tolerated at the school. It's not exactly a leap.
ANTIFA communists are going after high school kids.
What could go wrong? :lamo

I'm inclined to agree with your prediction. However, these kids have had their lives threatened, their privacy invaded, and personal information shared. Violence against these kids has had rewards offered. All this because the media was so quick to paint a smirking kid in a red hat as the worst criminal in town.
I think the fact that they are planning a protest at all should be newsworthy to the same outlets that got so hot and bothered just 24 hours ago.
Yeah, been a while since anyone in the Dem party has given them any credit for anything. Still, they base their views off that party
Here we go with the leaps of logic. Go look up "blackout pep rallies".
So why did I go off on this tangent? To point out that Antifa are PARASITES and they go looking for wussy causes that lack leadership and they glom onto them and take them over, and then turn violent.
It is what they do.
I wasn't defending antifa, it's just silly to say that they've been given a green light to loot and pilliage liberal cities that's BS.
I find the same problem when you absolutely reverse it and end up with the KKK.
I'd err on the side of increasing security at the school for the foreseeable future and frankly, if my kid was doxxed, I think I'd keep them at home for a bit.
This is one of the dangers with zealot reactions generating false stories or misrepresentations of alleged racism, sexism, etc..
It start's with "fake news" followed by, or founded on "twitterstorms" designed to scapegoat a target. This creates the proper levels of mass "anger" and "outrage" leading to "righteous action" against said target.
It is one of the things I fear most about our "information age" society, dependent on "Likes" and "Dislikes" to determine what is right and wrong; never realizing they can thereby be led by the nose like any old-school lynch mob.
Some of them might get their asses shot.
Hate to say it but I will not feel the least bit of compassion for any of them that do.
Actually I don't hate to say it because I am not the one doing any shooting but I suspect a lot of Kentucky folks will be.
Don't mess with their kids.

I am 100% in agreement. Social media is increasingly being used as a weapon. Even if the target of the outrage actually did something wrong, the damage inflicted by the social media campaigns inevitably is disproportionate to the initial wrong committed. And when it does get out of hand, (leading to death threats and being fired and having to move) it can’t be turned off. It just grows and grows until a new target is identified.
Like you, it is one of my biggest fears for the future because it is only going to get worse.
When I notice conservatives blasting Klan and Nazis, I know I'm looking at or hearing a rational conservative.
I'll even go so far as to say when I don't see them defending them, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, even if I disagree.
I'm sure that I have failed in that regard a few times, but I never said I was perfect
Well...I would feel bad for them getting shot. I don't have any special feelings for them, to be sure, but I actually get sad anytime a life is ended prematurely. I just hope they get locked up and have to face the true reality that should've happened in all the other cases for instigating riots.
I feel differently. I have to legally respect these individuals' right to 1st A expression, but I'm dead against what they're doing. I'm against people acting like a-holes, regardless of legality. And I believe since Trump's in office, we are seeing more a-holish behavior everyday.
It's not enough (for me) to be merely "legal". One has to be right. And that kid wasn't right in any of the videos, regardless of the others' wrongs.
(As an aside, I'd like to know who was the idiot that gave the kids the go-ahead to chant the school sports song in response to the other crowds; brilliant!)
I mean how ****ing far gone do you have to be in order to think MLK would be remotely ok with that.
