Lots of problems. Russia has been decimated on tweeter, not on the ground. Maybe Zelensky is willing to fight to the last Ukrainian, that cannot be said of the boots of the two French trained Brigades who evaporated before they reached the front

We cannot make decisions for other nations but some of us have forgotten the democracy and sovereignty comes with a price. What choice do the Ukrainians have to respond to Putin's attempt at genocide of Ukraine? Surrender and they will die a thousand deaths keep fighting and they get to kill Russians by the 1000's. They will always choose to fight and they have only just begun.

France was a free nation after 1940. The countries of the "Soviet bloc" were not free.

.....no, France under Nazi occupation was not free. The fact that the US felt the need to interfere in the post war elections likewise shows that.

I meant to say 1945 of course. They were free after we liberated them from the Nazis. The soviet bloc countries simply changed one occupier for another as Stalin completed taking his half of europe that Hitler and he agreed to in 1938. Putin idolizes Stalin and surely would jump at the chance to sign a pact with Hitler carving up europe between them.

"Western values" were embodied in the Budapest Memorandum signed by the USA, Russia, and Great Britain, guaranteeing Ukrainian sovereignty if they would give up their nuclear weapons left by the collapse of the USSR. They gave them up and now they're been Trumped on.
