Trump launches military strike against Syria

I can not even say they launched a chemical attack, so far the only evidence is the us govt says they did, which provided no evidence.

This is the ultimate example of flying off the handle, reacting without thinking, and using emotion to act before reviewing logic and evidence. If it is shown he did he may be right, however no real investigations have been done except y a govt that has tried to overthrow the assad regime since his father took power in the 60's by any means.

This has me questioning trump, if his emotion could cause military action without much of any review or evidence, what is to stop saudi arabia, or israel or palestine or any other country from playing him like a fiddle to bring the us military to fight for them.

They were just saying that they have the evidence and have already shown the press at the White House.

We do know from radar that they did launch this attack, beerftw.

My only fear is that Jared will be in charge.

Congressional warhawks and pundits are giving him praise (I guess you can call it that) for this.
Our government is "war crazy."

there are TWO THINGS THE US IS GOOD AT ............

1. making exponential debt that will never be paid back
2. bombing the Hell outta the brown folk

Just heard that we did warn the Russians the air strike was coming.

In that case... which although disappointing, is not a surprise... then we just spent millions of dollars to blow up empty hangars.

I guarantee once Trump see's his poll numbers climb from this strike, he'll target Iran or North Korea next and that will be End Game.

And........we have the Tomahawks.

The Tomahawks have a "best if used by" date.

So........this is a good excuse to feed the providers.

For cripe sakes the targets were air field strips and their means in aircraft that dropped the damn saran gas on his own people.

That should have happened years ago. How much longer are we as a country going to sit by and watch people killed and run out by the millions seeking safety? As far as I am concerned, this move was long overdue.

Trump took action immediately. We have a leader that will act instead of analysis. Thank goodness.

I am not him, but what I think is ****ing A right we told them. We do not need this to turn into something a whole **** of a lot bigger because we accidentally blew up a bunch of Russians.

This seems right to me, but I didn't want to make any assumptions. Bob seems the type who'd see it this way, though.

I see the movie already. Something directed by an Eastwood Jr in his 70s. 'Goodbye Seoul' - 2056's Oscar winner for best picture, best director, and featuring tons of explosions.

Uh, he is a career politician.

Trump is a career politician?

He's never even been president of his HOA. Hell, the HOA pissed him off so he just bought the whole neighborhood.

It was important that he do something. Obama screwed up with his "Red line" comment, and subsequent failure to back up his words. Trump now has more respect and credibility than Obama ever had. Not a high bar, though.

Since some GOPosters wants to continue to politicize what Bush started, why didn't GOP leaders support Obama 4 years ago with the red line?

Why no new AUMF from the party in power for 2+ years, as well as the house since 2011 ?

No........the strikes will come and nobody will do a damned thing.

Iran has no power (and probably won't be hit) and China needs us as their No. 1 customer.........we'll be fine.

I say this as well as a Brit that loves America I had lost faith over few months. But to me this shows that the world still needs America because you're willing to act when the UN and everyone else cowers in fear.
We all saw the photo of that poor man holding his dead twins this week and this is the correct response. Whatever you feel about the Syrian conflict and how it started we all agree that in this world which is getting smaller everyday thanks to globalization , social media etc that we don't have a place for dictators anymore especially those who gas their own people.
I'm no Trump fan but he's done the right thing here, god bless the US and god bless its troops who once again throw themselves into another conflict to defend people that are not their own.

I'm looking for the 'dislike' button but there isn't one

Ummmm...the current lot goes obsolete before they are too old to use, and very few ever make it to obsolete.

I read the exact opposite that Russia was pre-warned.
I would hope so!

If you stumble upon it, and are so inclined, please link it.

I may have misheard or misunderstood. Hard to believe there would be no warning to an airbase where Russians may be on the ground.

But then Trump ...

I agree. The Obama waffling weak is over.

They were just saying that they have the evidence and have already shown the press at the White House.

The us govt said that last time in 2013, if met a lot of criticism and fell flat because their main argument was rebels could not produce chemicals weapons of that grade.

I seriously doubt they have the evidence, this will likely end up years from now like the wmd fiasco in iraq. Infact for them to confirm something they have no video footage of, and no time to do much investigation, leads me to believe there never was much of an investigation.

It takes almost a year to try and convict trump of colluding with russia by our spy agencies and still no evidence, takes less than a day for them to supposedly prove assad gassed his own people, while ignoring that isis and the rebels both have chemical weapons.

And what do you think of that?

It was smart. Don't want the blood of dead Russian soldiers on our hands. Now I am just curious what Russia did with that information. The Syrians didn't act like they knew or they wouldn't have left their aircraft there like sitting ducks.

it's ALL about Don Cheeto ...........
