ABC News has obtained the police

Trayvon Martin Case: Exclusive Surveillance Video of George Zimmerman - ABC News

A police surveillance video taken the night that Trayvon Martin was shot dead shows no blood or bruises on George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who says he shot Martin after he was punched in the nose, knocked down and had his head slammed into the ground. The surveillance video, which was obtained exclusively by ABC News, shows Zimmerman arriving in a police cruiser. As he exits the car, his hands are cuffed behind his back. Zimmerman is frisked and then led down a series of hallways, still cuffed.Zimmerman, 28, is wearing a red and black fleece and his face and head are cleanly shaven. He appears well built, hardly the portly young man depicted in a 2005 mug shot that until a two days ago was the single image the media had of Zimmerman. [...]

Very interesting. Thanks for posting.

Well, it would have helped if ABC News hadn't decided to put it's logo over said face and head for most of the clip. There were several clear views the showed (1) his nose was perfectly fine; and (2) the back of his head was perfectly fine. No blood on him, no flattened nose, no bloody gash in the back of his head.

Somebody's lawyer has some explaining to do.

You bet. The dude appears to be uninjured; I'll bet some "exquisitenesses have some explaining to do as well.

Here is another link to the clip without the logo

You know.... if you didn't already know that the words on the police vehicle said "SANDFORD POLICE".... it would be difficult to read that in the video.

Taking that into account, this blurry video is hardly evidence of much.

However, at 0:55, you can see that the officer inspects the back of Zimmerman's head... wonder why he would do that.

Two things- he had already had medical attention, and you can faintly see the laceration to the back of his head as he's walking toward the door at the station. It would already have been cleaned up, I would assume. Also, the bruising from a broken nose won't typically show for several hours after a punch in the face, and they don't really show his face very well at all.

Maybe because Zimmerman said he had a boo-boo on his head. I don't see anything on the back of his head. And it's interesting, that he looks like he is healthy enough to run down someone and fight. Just some more "evidence" to ponder...a little bit more every day.

I'm not even going to watch a video - and still confidently I will say that you cannot tell if someone is bruised or injured from a VIDEO or without medical examination.

Everyone's 'defenses' and 'support evidence' are just becoming more and more uneducated and stupid the harder everyone tries.

You can barely see it. It's a vertical line above the occipital area. Looks like it's about 2" long or so from what I can tell. Either that, or someone drew a line on his head.

Knowing the difference between live action and what that translates into on a crappy camera, I'll take the officers and EMS folks' word for it at this point.

Ive watched plenty of camera footage of something I've also lived (Mobile Video Cameras from my Patrol Vehicle). The two don't always look the same. Crappy quality video cameras can't catch everything as accurately as you can with your eye.

For instance.... the best shot of his nose would have been coming in the door in that small office near the end of the video.... but alas..... his head looks like something from "The Blob" on the old Creepshow movie

He looks a hell of a lot more in shape than he did in that mug shot.

Grats! He was successfully losing weight.

What bearing that has on the facts of the case I have no clue.

BLEEDING OUT OF HIS HEAD?!?!?!?!
BROKEN NOSE?!?!?
WHERE!?!?!?!

Somebody has his head slammed against concrete and they need NO medical care? Seemed like bull**** from the start. How will Zimmerman's lawyer and defenders explain away the most essential part of their self defence argument?

Why? The coppers at the scene clearly reported he was bloodied on his face and the back of his head. People don't usually spend two or more hours being questionned by police with blood all over their face. He was treated for his injuries in the back of the squad car at the scene.

From what I can tell from that video...he doesn't appear to be beaten up like some described before. He seems fine even in this low quality video. He also looks fit enough run someone down and fight. I look forward to finding out even more. This is just a piece of it.

It seems the whole physical case against Trayvon Martin is that he was some athlete that could have easily taken Zimmerman and beat him up. That doesn't seem so true when the two people are reasonably in good shape. Wait... it seems even less true when Zimmerman weighs 100 pounds over Martin and is in shape.

Doesn't really look in shape to me.... but I forgot... we can only see him from an angled view in a blurry video.

His face doesn't look at fat as the picture though.

And.........

Your crashing against something.

Just because someone is larger doesn't mean they somehow have the ability to take a punch.

I can give you a guy that weighs as much as a boxer, and is physically strong..... But I'll bet that boxer can take a punch compared to this dude who never gets hit or hurt, nor has a will to fight.

This whole Size + Shape = Ability thing is a really ridiculous notion. Those of us with the experience of dealing with people of all shapes and sizes know better.

I haven't seen those reports. But I have seen people who have been beaten, and they swell rather quickly. I would like a better look at his face. All this did was raise the question for me.

Of course he doesn't. You're also the guy who can't make out SANFORD POLICE clearly on the video.

No kidding.

So now Zimmerman is a little fella who couldn't fight? Funny. Given his history, he seems pretty confrontational.

As I said... if we didn't already know what it said. Its hard to determine where the L ends and the I begins..... Sandford is a little easier to distinguish letter for letter.

So now Zimmerman is a little fella who couldn't fight? Funny. Given his history, he seems pretty confrontational.
I didn't say he was a little fella.
Can you quote me where I did?

So, what's the conclusion we're supposed to draw here? That the police made the whole thing up about Zimmerman being injured and it's all a big racist conspiricy?

It seems to me there are people who want this to be a big cover up and are rooting for a race war in America... What I don't understand is why people would want this.

So, what's the conclusion we're supposed to draw here?

That Zimmerman's lawyer is a lying ****.

That the police made the whole thing up about Zimmerman being injured

From what I've read the only person who kept repeating the whole Zimmerman was bleeding argument was his lawyer.

and it's all a big racist conspiricy?

Hyperbole.

It seems to me there are people who want this to be a big cover up

Cover up? No. Police misconduct, murder, lying lawyers? Yes.

and are rooting for a race war in America...

You mean like Joko?!?!?

What I don't understand is why people would want this.

Maybe it's cause it's a hyperbolic accusation made by you and Joko.

From the police report:
I asked the subject in the red jacket, later identified as George Zinnerman (who was original caller for the suspicious person complaint), if he had seen the subject. Zimmerman stated that he had shot the subject and he was still armed. Zimmerman complied with all of my verbal commands and was secured in handcuffs. Loated on the inside of Zimmerman’s waist band, I removed a black Kel Tek 9mm PF9 semi auto handgun and holster. While I was in such close contact with Zimmernan, I could observe that his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and back of his head.

As I said earlier in the thread, you can see the laceration on the back of his head, above the occipital area, vertically, about 2" long. It's a faint dark *line* that you can see as he's walking from the car toward the door to enter the building. It's easy to miss, but it's there. He had already been cleaned up by the FD EMS before being taken into custody.
