I honestly can't wait till it gets up here cause by the time they get to Canada they are ****ing wicked rain storms and are awesome to watch.

Even though I am not in the direct path? One thing I know is that Mother Nature will do what She Will. So everybody in just needs to stay aware.
 
Haven't had a storm like this threatening to hit in MANY years. I'm only working until 4, tomorrow, so I'm hoping to beat the weather home.

I second this notion, be safe ya'll, my parents, brother and sisters will be riding it out on Canadas east coast too, though hopefully the storm will have calmed down on its way up there.

To all those who must brunt the strongest winds and the heaviest rains, I wish you gods speed and good luck.

It's only a Cat 1. That's not going to do anything but dump a lot a water on on things.
 
So far, a lot of rain, about 20-30 MPH gusts of wind. It's starting to get worse. The eye is about 200+ miles away from me, currently. So far, I still have power, which is amazing because we usually lose power, here.

It's impulsive. One minute rain, the next lighter rain with wind, the next nothing, then heavy rain again. No consistency whatsoever.

Weather patterns like these tend to throw off the temporal circuitry. I was going to transport to Sunday evening and report back on what will happen, but it keeps wanting to send me back to the date of Glen Beck's birth. Weird.

I haven't heard a word on FB from my old college buddies still in the city. I knw a couple had to evacuate.
 
Tornado warning was just issued a couple of counties south of me. The EAS came on the TV. First time I've ever seen it come on when it wasn't a test.

There have been a few in Delaware, earlier.

About 20 miles from me is the Raritan River and there is town there called Bound Brook. The river would be at flood stage at 28 feet. They are predicting it to crest at 40 feet. That's two feet short of the record.
 
Just lost power at 3:30. Not unexpected.
