"It's pretty clear the person that they wanted to charge was acting in self-defense," Dunnings said of the union member who apparently slugged Crowder....
Dunnings questioned why Crowder didn't initially provide that original footage to Dunnings' office.
"I'm not holding that against him, but why would they provide the edited video? The longer video clearly shows the guy got pushed down and came up swinging," Dunnings said.

Dunnings's decision was based on the state police's investigation, which reviewed both the editedand unedited versions of the video.

I've watched that three or four times, and I don't see the newsman pushing anyone down...

I fail to see what this proves beyond the guy was (apparently) pushed to the ground. It sure doesn't show the newsman doing it . . . ?

I question this ‘self-defense’ decision. When ‘union dude’ got up off (however he got there) the ground Crowder did not make ANY aggressive posture/gesture/motion that would incite self-defense. Both edited and unedited versions show Crowder standing holding both hands up open. What am I missing?

Regardless, I saw nothing that rose to the level for charges either.

As we can clearly see the guy swung on Crowder unprovoked.
So what is the question?

Because you see, if Crowder's claim was not truthful, he then pressed/reported false charges.
Clearly he didn't and is why he wasn't charged with it.

It's inconclusive who pushed him down on the unedited video. However, it's clear that he was pushed down, and it would be reasonable for him to think it was Crowder. If it was, that is self-defense.

Why is this still news? From my perspective, that Crowder kid went into that crowd, to pick a fight, so he could run back to FOX and scream about that 'Union thug' who sucker punched him. That was the goal all along, and he got exactly what he wanted out of it. That Union guy should have kept his cool, to avoid playing right into Crowder's hand, but I can definitely understand coming up swinging in a scenario like that. Big crowd, yelling, shoving, I can see how that happened. However, it was definitely not a sucker punch. It's fairly evident that Crowder and his producer were intentionally riling people up, so from my view, he got what he was after.

Whatever happened to the days when two people were able to just slug it out over an issue? I miss the days when two people, unable to talk out their issue, could go in the yard, slug it out, and squash it. Not anymore. Everyone wants to b***h and moan about the other person and beat the dead horse into oblivion. Just let it go already, is how I feel about it.
