The Rise of the Right-Wing Media Machine

Modern Day Republicanism has not seen a day, they did not awaken and arise without the "Let's attack and defeat something motivation" as the core agenda.

This current day right wing media of talking heads and right wing networks is the legacy of "Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan"...

((( Republican and Democrats NEED to Read This Article )))
It will help people understand how and why the malice making of Right Wing Media was created

  1. Nixon wanted to hide the mess made in Vietnam
  2. Reagan wanted to hide the mess made in Iran/Contra
  3. And a variety of other cover up were done by the agenda of "right wing media".
  4. They sell lies, create conspiracies, denigrate people, and organizations and the agenda is always to control the narrative to promote the lies and cover ups.

The Rise of the Right-Wing Media Machine
History:
  • It was a theme that Nixon would repeat often. The president was convinced that “the press and TV don’t change their attitude and approach unless you hurt them,”
History
  • To make Nixon’s media “project” a reality over the past quarter century, conservatives spent hundreds of millions of dollars from a variety of deep-pocket patrons.
History
  • This conservative media machine now rivals—and may well surpass—the power and the influence of the old-line press. Both directly and indirectly, this right-wing media machine holds sway over much of the national agenda, deciding which ideas and individuals are accepted and which are marginalized.
History
  • The Myth of the ‘Liberal’ Press
  • Yet, despite the power of the right-wing media, conservatives still espouse the Nixonian notion that they are picked-upon victims, persecuted by some all-powerful “liberal” press. Indeed, for the past 25 years, this oft-repeated claim of a liberal media has been a catechism of conservative faith.
  • But the supposedly liberal press is, in reality, not liberal in any partisan sense at all. The vast majority of journalists in the mainstream press either operate as they should—that is, with nonideological “objectivity”—or they demonstrate a center-right political orientation.

History
  • the conservative accusation of “liberal” bias had rested on the thesis that an unpatriotic news media had “lost” the war in Vietnam. But this accusation was disproved by, among many other analysts, the US Army itself. In a book-length study (The Military and the Media, 1962–1968), Army historian William Hammond blamed the defeat on a poorly designed military strategy and the public revulsion at the numbers of American dead. As for the media’s role, Hammond wrote, “press reports were… more accurate than the public statements of the administration.”

History:

  • the conservative media’s success in containing the Iran/Contra scandal and turning the mainstream press against those who sought the truth marked a significant shift in national power.

  • For a fleeting time, the American people could count on the press to act as a constitutional watchdog to warn the nation about government wrongdoing. The crimes of Watergate, lies about the Vietnam War and abuses by the CIA were brought to light.

  • But, not coincidentally, Nixon saw this newly awakened press as his enemy and retaliated. His conservative allies set about building their own press establishment and intimidating honest journalists in the mainstream media. Now, a quarter century later, the US press needs to be challenged again to resume its constitutional mission.

The act and agenda to cover up lies, promote conspiracies, and delude and mislead the people... has been the core premise of why Right Wing Media was created. (Read The Article and Learn)

Republicanism seek to "defeat".... where as; Democrat seeks to "promote"

(We continually see this fact, over and over between the two parties).

Is Fox News part of the right wing media now...or is it to be regarded as a treasonous, back-stabbing, deep-state, RINO, liberal, green-new-deal, pedophile, enemy of the patriotic American ?

It's a Malicious Menace To Society.... that has damaged the mindset of millions.... It's like a drug worst than the most publicly devastating intoxicant, for the "drama addicts" who need an "attack agenda fix' on a daily basis...

There is no "right wing media". There is only Mainstream Media, their echo chamber and a lot of small, honest media.

Fox News is part of the Mainstream Media.

My usual response to this is a snarky “reality has a liberal bias” comment. But in some way there is a truth to that, if “reality” is defined by the general post depression post WWII consensus that capitalism doesn’t work perfectly and that there are evils in the world other than communism (substitute terrorism nowadays). So, for example, when MLK or Cesar Chavez surfaced and the right called them commies, that position gained no traction. People eventually accepted that opposition to the Vietnam mistake was not commie inspired, that if Vietnam fell, Hawaii or California weren’t next.

But the US is still a relatively conservative country compared to much of the democratic world, so we freaked out over Nicaragua and Grenada. While we say these places as threats, the rest of the world saw our freak out as not much different than the freak out over Poland by the Soviet Union’s empire. Conservative students actually celebrated the conquest of Grenada.

We’ve matured since then, and Trump’s fits over immigration - trying to make immigrants or Muslims the new commies - have been challenged successfully.

I love the ironic twist to your screen name.

But both Trumpists and Democrats hate it.

I'm sure the same can be said for yours in the same context as you are speaking.

Bullshit.

You cannot explain the unnatural.uniformity of the messaging in the CEC.

The 24hr lag between a problematic event and the explanation.

The people online who appear to be quite intelligent, use language very well, but purport to believe the most specious nonsense. Day in and day out.

We are surrounded by attempts to persuade us. Multiple industries and degree tracks exist based on this process. Get us to buy this, reject that.

But I'm sure you know all of this.

I haven't heard this worn out leftist lie laid on this thick since George W was in office.

Where to begin...

Fair.org is a far left propaganda website similar to Media Matters... Their stories contain the same level of dishonesty and the same lack of credibility as MM... The only difference is their writing staff is slightly less clownish.

Modern Day Republicanism has not seen a day, they did not awaken and arise without the "Let's attack and defeat something motivation" as the core agenda.

What planet are you living on? Have you been out of the country the last 4 years or something? That speaks directly to progressivism and the democrats in DC they drag around by the ears.

This current day right wing media of talking heads and right wing networks is the legacy of "Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan"...

  1. Nixon wanted to hide the mess made in Vietnam

1. You mean the war started by Kennedy, escalated by Johnson, and ended by Nixon? That war?
2. Do you even remember how the mainstream news media savaged the Reagan administration on a daily basis back then?
3. What right wing media? During Nixon's and Reagan's time 40 to 50 million people a night got their news from ABC, NBC, CBS, and Reagan even had to deal with Ted Turner's CNN... all of which had a clear left wing bias. Four of the five top newspapers in the country were liberal and most of the national radio news networks were also left leaning. Don't even get me started on Hollywood and academia. Maybe you've forgotten, but there was no Fox News and with the exception of Reagan's last days in office, right wing talk radio did not exist in any form what so ever.
4. Would you like a refresher course on what's been put out over the last decade by the democrats and the mainstream news media? Maybe we can compare notes... That would refresh you memory and clear things up a bit.

I have to address one more thing... This is one of the most ridiculous and patently absurd statements I've seen on this forum during my 11 years as a member...

...the supposedly liberal press is, in reality, not liberal in any partisan sense at all. The vast majority of journalists in the mainstream press either operate as they should—that is, with nonideological “objectivity”—or they demonstrate a center-right political orientation.

I can't fathom how anyone with even a smidgen of integrity and self respect could post such a brazen untruth.

What a pile of steaming bovine excrement. :poop:

This is proof the echo chamber will believe anything. It isn't enough that 90% of the media is lockstep behind the political left, they have to attack the 10% that doesn't conform.

o_O

ROFL....you gotta be kidding me!!! Must be hiding in the basement with ole Joe to believe such nonsense, lol.

I see....

You went to a liberal cult website for your daily does of confirmation bias and decided to share it with us.

Thank you for sharing:ROFLMAO:

An unintended consequence to this is that leftist can no longer bad mouth Fox news(LOL)

Opinion is not news and has no place on a news channel.

Depends on one's perspective.

Or lack of objectivity?

Main stream media is right wing. Always has been.

Except the opinions it spouts are way to the right of the main stream.
Fox News makes the same reports that all the other mainstream media does. They have their left wing talking potato heads and their right wing talking potato heads. The only difference between them and, say, CNN is that ALL the talking potato heads on CNN are left wing...even the ones who pretend to be right wing.

Now...you can say Fox News is "way to the right" of the rest of the mainstream media, but that's only because the rest of the mainstream media is WAYYY to the left of everyone in the country. But that doesn't mean that Fox News is "right wing media". Fox News is just a more fair and balanced version of Mainstream Media.

Of course I know that marketing and manipulation are a part of media...especially the Mainstream Media. What YOU think about that stuff only depends upon your ability to resist those efforts.

But that doesn't mean...not one little bit...that Fox News is "right wing media". And that certainly doesn't mean that there is ANY "right wing media machine".

Big tech is now the RW, Trumpsters bogeyman..

It was like overnight.. And I'm not just talking about on-line, and this forum etc... People I know in the real world, Cons who probably a week ago didn't even know what 'Big Tech' meant, or who 'Big Tech' was... Now spew their hate at 'Big Tech' all the time....lol

It is scary, as well as fascinating seeing how easily they take their marching ordering from Fox and the rest..

Reminds me of the old Apple commercial poking fun at IBM.. It showed a bunch of robotic type people walking like they were in a trance, mindless and oblivious to what's really going on around them.. That perfectly describes the current Republican party base..

And then we have the likes of you constantly spewing the "what triggers me today" liberal talking points.
