The Duce is back to regime change.

Russia also gained significant ground in their war against Poland in 1919 and their war against Germany a few years earlier. They lost both wars decisively. They tend to do very poorly against advanced nations, unless those nations are very small (Finland) or also fighting against other advanced adversaries (Germany in WWII, though it was not enough for Russia to win in WWI).
Poland decided they were going to try and carve out an empire. Pilsudski got his ass kicked so badly it took a “miracle” for Poland to survive at all. Calling that a “decisive victory” is a joke 😂

Gee dude, seeing as Russia did the overwhelming majority of the fighting against Nazi Germany and crushed them—and smashed Imperial Japan badly both times they went against them—that narrative doesn’t even remotely hold up.🔝

So you are admitting
No, but keep fantasizing about that and other shit that never happened.
regime change is currently doomed from the start, and Zelensky’s plan is idiotic. Good to know ;)

The shilling for Russia, trying to cover up its epic fail, is so adorable!

President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Western allies to push for regime change in Russia at a conference marking 50 years since the signing of the Helsinki Final Act on July 31, warning that Moscow will further attempt to destabilize European allies.

"I believe Russia can be pushed to stop this war. It started it, and it can be made to end it. But if the world doesn’t aim to change the regime in Russia, that means even after the war ends, Moscow will still try to destabilize neighboring countries," Zelensky said during his virtual address.

If only Zelensky's allies had balls! To be fair some do have balls. Problem is those of Zelensky's allies that sport an impressive pair of iron testicles, unfortunately, also lack the muscle to back that up. Take the Three Baltic Midgets: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. They sport the most impressive pairs of iron testicles in the western world; but in size they amount to just a fraction of Moscow. Germany recently grew a pair with the arrival of Herr Merz; but he is still learning the ropes. Trump has balls but his heart is not in the Duce's fight.

What more can Zelensky do to convince his allies that Putin must be destroyed? Russland delenda est! The Duce should borrow from Cato the Elder and end all his daily addresses to the world with a resounding: Russland delenda est!

Something else may be working for the frustrated Duce. August 8th is S-Day. Sanctions Day. The Day Trump has vowed to release the Kraken.

What happens on S-Day? What will be the size of Trump's Kraken? With Trump its extremely hard to tell. Sen Lindsey Graham expects an Armagedon on those buying Russian oil. The Ukrainian Duce hopes so as well. Most media in Europe, as well as European leaders are psyching up and taunting Trump; already calling him a wimp if on August 8th he does not collapse Russia. On his part Trump blows hot and call; his threats are blood curdling, but he also told a reporter he was not even sure it will work; making one wonder whether he will release a giant Kraken or a midget Kraken. Meanwhile nothing has been heard from Putin. Putin is so silent through the whole thing it is as if it is not about him?

What happens on expiry of ultimatum on August 8th?

Regime change is the only solution for Russia.

The Russian people are like the battered wife who keeps going back to fist-using Hubby even after multiple visits to the hospital. They figure "This time, things will be better", so it's pretty much obvious that they can't be relied upon to change their country's habitual adversarial ways.

You know they'll just replace one monster with another, right? Been doing that for at least 100 years (granted, they sometimes replaced them with morons instead of monsters).

No, but keep fantasizing about that and other shit that never happened.

What “epic failure”? Poland wanted all of Ukraine, Belarus, and significant territory on top of that. They didn’t get anywhere near that. Claiming Poland won a “decisive victory” is laughably ignorant.

But hey, keep fantasizing about all that shit that didn’t happen ;)

The US lacks the power to effect regime change in Cuba ninety miles off its coast. The idea it could do so in Russia is utterly laughable.

HELLOO! Anybody home?! We're talking about this in the context of the Russia Ukraine war. If Russia's idea of an acceptable result is that they lost only a part of their vassal/lands, that would place Ukraine on track to get half of Belarus and half of Belgorod and Kursk.

Poland didn’t even get a third of what they wanted at the peace table. Some “victory” 😂

I get your standard of “victory” is more akin to America’s humiliating failures across the Middle East, but words have actual meanings.

The Poles attacked when the Russians were in the middle of a bloody civil war with Soviet troops deployed on at least a half a dozen different fronts and still got their asses kicked all the way back to Warsaw.

So you're saying Ukraine will only get a quarter of Belarus, Kursk, and Belgorod?

Are you under the impression Ukraine doesn’t want the eastern quarter of its country back anymore?

I get the Russians have smashed every attempt the Ukrainians and their fancy Western wunderwaffe have tried, but presumably they haven’t abandoned hope yet.

I think Ukraine would have given up some of their territory if the infinitely vile denizens of the Russian Federation had an ounce of integrity between them, but they don't, so there's no incentive for Ukraine to do so.

Also what "wunderwaffe" are you talking about? You've been raving about the mystic supremacy and invincibility the West supposedly assigns to these weapons, but the last time I asked you WTF you were talking about, you came up short:
You sure you're not projecting?

What was the toll on Ukraine? Or its a secret :)

Zelensky needs to step down. It's Ukraine that needs regime change.

interweb is saying chasov yar is now under Russian control

More and more sources are confirming that. There is now more and more talk of Ukrainians constructing new defense lines further to the west as the present lines from Vovchansk to Pokrovsk are crumbling

Trump has foolishly inserted himself into backing Z, and now Z is emboldened to call for Regime change.
I said long ago and many times - stay the **** out of all of it..that giant sucking sound is US entanglement in a shitty "not our" war

Foolishly is the word for it. Trump is making himself part of the problem as opposed to the solution. And his reasons dont make sense. He says he is disappointed in Putin. What has that got to do with core US interests? And I am not even sure that in the end it benefits Ukraine. One thing for sure is Trump will not provide a dime to Ukraine. He will stick to the Europeans paying for it; but will they? France has already declared it will not pay for US weapons to Ukraine; insisting it will only pay for European weapons. But a few weeks back Macron already stated that everything France is producing is being sent to Ukraine; that France is maxed out; that not to ask him the impossible? What is likely gonna be the case is that various European countries will find ways to weasel out. The UK is committed, but the UK is quasi broke. The Three Baltic Midgets are fully committed but they dont have deep pockets. That leaves Germany.

My suspicions is that Trump's tantrums only raises expectations that may not materialise

The ground war in Ukraine doesn't seem to be going well for Zelensky.

The Ukrainian air defense also appears to be in tatters. Ukraine still claims to shoot down 98% plus of Russian drones and missiles, but even its most fanatical backers in the west are not taking the claims seriously anymore. The fires on the ground state otherwise

Napoleon and Hitler were backward nations?

Whether or not it's likely, I'd say it's unlikely to change much. I suspect most Russians are either OK with or supportive of the war. Putin is a symptom, not the pathogen.

Kudos to your suspicions. If the war against Russia is to be won it is by assessing accurately what they are worth and what Russians actually believe. If the war is lost much blame lies in the western pretense that Russians are subhuman barbarians incapable of thought or reason. Its not bull shit. Even Gen Petraeus, who should know better, spread that caricaturer

This was an article on Telegraph by Hamish de Bretton-Gordon before Ukraine's failed counteroffensive

As a former tank commander, I can say one thing for certain: Putin’s demoralised conscripts are utterly unprepared for the shock action now hitting their lines. Ukrainian armoured formations are beginning to meet Russian forces in battle, and they are going to pulverise Russia’s defensive lines. I am confident for one simple reason: Ukraine will follow the Western ideology of manoeuvre warfare in a combined arms context, while the Russians will follow Soviet doctrine, relying on attrition and numbers. The Russians will find that the armour of Western tanks is far more resilient than flesh and bone, they will die in great numbers, and they will lose.

The core idea of manoeuvre warfare is mission command. Commanders at all levels understand the top-level end state, and are given the flexibility to conduct the battle as they see fit to achieve victory. The Ukrainians are well-versed in this style of warfare, which allows them to be agile and adapt their plan to the situation on the battlefield as it unfolds and changes. The Russians do not follow this doctrine. They are given strict roles in the execution of plans drawn up at the top, and cannot change them even when things are going badly wrong. This has been made evident time and time again in Ukraine, where Moscow’s tanks have all too often been blown to pieces without firing a round.

On top of this, we can add the simple fact that Kyiv’s forces have proved far superior in their adoption of combined arms warfare. This means using tanks, infantry, artillery and air power in harmony to achieve their objectives. Each element brings its own capabilities, and together they are far greater than the sum of their parts. The effect is devastating. Nearly 4,000 Russian tanks have been destroyed because they were not properly protected by infantry and air defence. Tens of thousands of Russian soldiers have died because they were not properly supported by artillery and tanks.

Getting this form of warfare right takes intelligence and training. You need the right equipment, and effective doctrine. The Ukrainians have this. I estimate that their tank brigades have had around eight weeks to perfect combined arms warfare, around the same time I would have allocated to train the Royal Tank Regiment under my command to be an effective combined arms fighting force. And they certainly have the right equipment. The Challenger and Leopard tanks leading the spearhead vastly outmatch what’s left of Russia’s heavy armour, while sophisticated precision artillery is providing withering fire for the advance.

Conversely, Russian recruits appear to be given a few days of training, a little ammunition and are then thrown into the meat-grinder with a life expectancy surely measured in days. They might as well be gunning them down on the training fields; it would be faster, cheaper and about as combat effective.

There will certainly be no rescue from the air. The Russian air force should be a massive operational threat, but it seems that its pilots have opted to hide in the confines of the officers’ mess rather than face the excellent Ukrainian air defences. Sometimes, cowardice is the most sensible option.

Regime change is the only solution for Russia.

But who will do the trick for Zelensky? Zelensky is like the mice of the fables, who held a meeting to address the cat problem. They decided the solution was to bell the cat so its approach will be anounced to all mice. But who will bell the cat? The mice could not find a solution to their solution

That is your own conception of Russians

Typical third worldist refrain.

Russia is there. They are subhumans. They dont have running toilets. They are animals sent into battle armed with shovels because Russia lacks rifles. That is what the western media has been chokeful of. Well, Russia is there, destroy them
