I am always curious why people choose certain user names, so here's an opportunity for me (and others) to learn why you have chosen the one you have.

aps are my initials. I know, I know--kinda boring. But hey, I like being called by my name and not something like "sexy momma" (even though the latter is true). ;)

I always thought my name was obvious, but every once in awhile I have to explain it..."Seein' red"...Typical redhaired, freckle-face kid...It was also my wrestling name...

I've had a couple of people question it due to the fact that Republicans are considered "Red States", so I must be a Republican, but that it purely coincidental...

My porno name is cnpink...

Mine's the second half of my first name and the first half of my second name. One was my college nickname and the othe was my dad's nickname.

Happy= feeling pleasure, tipsy, causing pleasure, satisfied, willing, fortunate, used in greetings, too ready to use something
Kat es mi nombre.
Now, pet the hairy honeysuckle.

Wow. These are fantastic!

Stace is just a nickname of my given name, Stacy. Doesn't shorten it up at all, but I'm so used to people calling me Stace now, I tend to use it as a username wherever I can

mine is my first initial (J for Joseph) and my last name (Allman)

Come on, vauge--let's hear what your name means.

teenonfire--give us the scoop.

alpheib--what the heck does your name mean?

I sell books, music and movies online and mixedmedia is my "store name." Although I made a sudden move lately and am not back to being fully functional again. But I love it and get to meet a lot of interesting people from all over the world....sometimes very interesting people.

How about Galen, Arch Enemy, Conflict...and, well, lots of other people around here?

I mean, some names, like Navy Pride and kal_el, are pretty obvious, especially when you check out their avatars.

But even they have stories behind their choice, I'm sure.

Oh, all of them! I was listing people whose name I saw were on-line at that time.

Let's not forget hipsterdufus--that sounds like an interesting story.

well the meaning on my name is quite simple
My name is Galen, and I rock (and I use the X because I just rock that much harder)
Thus galenrox

I did a solo act for a while and I named everything based on metal stereotypes (i.e. the first album was called "If You're Not Here To Rock, GET THE **** OUT (The Mark Of The Beast)"), and so I called the project "Galen Fantastic and the Shark Lasers" and our slogan was "When Galen Rox, Galen Rox Hard, Know It, LIVE IT!"

It was actually quite fantastic, cause I got a t-shirt made with me winking on it (and that slogan), and there is nothing cooler than wearing a shirt that shows everyone how much you rock.

Come on, vauge--let's hear what your name means.

Vaugerant was my alias for years - it was a misspelling of vagrant. I can still be found though a google search.

1. I roamed though many forums and homes on the net, but rarely stuck in one spot for long. It made sense to me in an odd kinda way.
2. vauge is part of being "vague" in my dialog, which often occurs. It is also a shortened version of Vaugerant.
3. I simply cannot spell.

Sorry folks, it's not pronounced vahge.

There is more than one 'vauge' that I know of on the net - but I am the first.

Finn MacCool is a famous irish hero and leader of the Fianna. I chose this name because
1) I'm Irish
2) I like the story of MacCool
3)I'm really into these ancient folk stories for some reason
4) I thought it was a good way of showing that I'm tough

Anyways here is more information of Finn MacCool
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finn_MacCool

Known as a hero to all that he knew
Long live the legend of FINN MAC COOL

My first name is actually Alfie, (like "Whats it all about Alfie") the song. Which is how I got me name, you know the movie "Alfie". I know the character was a man, but my mother thought she would be original (thanks Mom). I just replaced it with a ph. My last name starts with a B..

I'm really sorry to hear that you are Irish. lol, Just kidding, my father was 100% Irish. My mother's family tree is diverse with some Irish.

You spelled everything correct. Thank God for the spell check, at least that is what I tell myself.
