Tell us what your name means here

I always thought my name was obvious, but every once in awhile I have to explain it..."Seein' red"...Typical redhaired, freckle-face kid...It was also my wrestling name...

I've had a couple of people question it due to the fact that Republicans are considered "Red States", so I must be a Republican, but that it purely coincidental...

My porno name is cnpink...

cnredd -nice to meet a fellow redhead! I so hated being called red when I was growing up because then my whole face would turn red too. Or I also hated carrot top! aarrggh.

Great topic aps! I always wonder what the name means and how it relates to the person. No need to explain my username, lol.

Many years ago, I competed in after-dinner speaking at the State High School championships. (Where I placed 4th...ahem)

When announcing the awards, they pronounced my last name wrong so it sounded like "Hoot." All my friends laughed their butts off and from that day forward, I've been known as Hoot.

Not much of a story but there you have it.

On second thought...maybe I got the name because all the girls in H.S. said I was horny as a Hoot owl...that sounds like a much more interesting story...LOL.

I am actually righthanded, but politically speaking I lean to the left. I suppose that was obvious and I didn't need to explain it, but sometimes people think it means I'm lefthanded.

... okay so there you have it.

I am always curious why people choose certain user names, so here's an opportunity for me (and others) to learn why you have chosen the one you have.

aps are my initials. I know, I know--kinda boring. But hey, I like being called by my name and not something like "sexy momma" (even though the latter is true). ;)

My name doesn't mean anything, it's just my name. I'm the real George Washington and I've traveled through time and space to spread a political message to the world. It just so happens I chose this forum.

Is there any way I can get my hands on this chemical?

Hmm.. Experimental purposes only. If we're still around here in about five years, I might be able to suggest you as a test subject. :p

Heck, you might even get paid for it

My name, Axismaster, means that I am the leader of the axis. No folks, it has no Nazi connection, I am talking about an axis against the government. I am anti-government all the way.

Every single one of the definitive terms that represent the meaning of the word represent my personality and my personal struggle with the world around me. It's not easy going against the grain at times... but some of us just have to do it...

A state of disharmony between incompatible or antithetical persons, ideas, or interests; a clash.

Psychology. A psychic struggle, often unconscious, resulting from the opposition or simultaneous functioning of mutually exclusive impulses, desires, or tendencies.

I absolutely love your name! For some reason, the word "naughty" is just hilarious to me. What constitutes "naughty" for Naughty Nurse? Tell us (or pm me and tell me ;)).

Naughty = I tend to open my mouth before I put my brain in gear - gets me into no end of trouble with the boss!

Naughty = very sick sense of humour (common to nurses!)

Naughty = men!!! :3oops:

Deegan is my grandfathers last name, I recently lost him, and I use it to remember him everyday, so as to never allow him to leave my thoughts. I once used his unit in WW2 the 817th Tank Destroyer division, so I was 817thDeegan. I just decided to leave that off here, just to shorten it up a bit.

Sorry about your loss, but happy you have such memories.

Thank you, it's been almost a year now, but it still seems like yesterday, so thanks for your kindness.

What a great story. I love hearing how people pick their names. Yours clearly comes from your heart. :)

The loss never goes away, but the pain fades to an extent. Sadly, we must lose our older relatives. :(
