This is the longest running Alderman in Chitown. Quite interesting that he gets raided the same day as Cohen pleas. His firm no longer represents Trumps interests though this is still peculiar.

They can't do that. They've sold out. Massively large order went to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

They even used Amazon Prime and got them in two days.

It's not about destroying Trump because they dislike him. It's about making sure everyone who isn't part of the ruling class, that gets the idea that they can join the club without an invitation, knows that the punishment for such a crime is death. The message being sent is for the rest of us malcontents. Trump is an American hero at a time in history in where few are to be found.

Its shameful how he is being treated.

The message is not only that they will destroy you but anyone and everyone associated with you, both intimately and casually. Disloyality must be punished.

That's amusing since it is TRUMP that THREATENED he would declassify information STRICTLY to hurt Dems or anyone else that DARED continued to investigate him.
 
Not really. It happens.

Trump was added to this story to give it some spice. Burke's law firm specializes in Chicago property tax protests. They handled the property tax appeals for the Chicago Trump Tower for 11 years (and no longer do). I haven't seen any indication that Trump or one of his businesses had any other dealings with that firm.

This is more likely related to the ongoing controversy over the city's Worker's Comp fund that Burke's committee supervises -- especially since it was his city offices that were affected.

I understand why people on the left dont like him. That's not who I'm talking about. That's the expected run of the mill partisanship. They all face that.

This much is true and Burke has probably has his big toe in corruption for 50 years. Odd though how he just so happens to get raided by the Feds on this day.:shock:
