Many folks who don't want illegal immigrants actually deported engage in a form of concern trolling. They will suddenly declare that the government they don't want enforcing immigration law is being thwarted in their job to enforce immigration law. They don't mean thwarted by NGO's engaging in judge shopping for nationwide injunctions, no they mean all the people who interact with the illegal immigrants are now part of the problem.

You know these folks, they are the people who on one hand chastise you that your vegetables will be too expensive, your yard care undone, and your house and road will not be built because union electrician or construction worker are not jobs Americans will do.

But then in a fit of trying to "win" they will suddenly declare that all the people BENEFITING from that exploitation are now the problem. Yes you Mr and Mrs Vegetable Eater, you are the problem. The people that hired them to pick the vegetables, they are the problem too.

So here's your chance to make it more than concern trolling. Here's your chance to put fully into words all the people that are the problem and all their actions that should be made illegal for enabling illegal immigration.

I'll start....

Housing and illegal immigration, clearly the reason someone can LIVE in a country when they do not have proper status is because they have shelter and a place to live. This might involve people who have added ADL's to properties or who have done something like making a garage into a small apartment or just allowing a bunch of travel trailers or shacks to be placed on a property where they collect various type of rent.

Let's make this illegal. It's pretty simple as illegal immigrants do not have Social Security numbers. They shouldn't be able to access regular financial institutions and so on.

However one of the reasons a landlord might be unwilling to refuse renting is fear of a discrimination claim. So we make sure this is about documentation. If a person does not have have proof of status, they cannot be rented to and thus cannot have shelter.

This will likely make them far more likely to self-deport.

Make sure to add your own ideas below and make them actionable. Explain how you want them to work and thus prove they aren't just concern trolling.

The problem with trying to limit housing (to those with legal status) is lack of a federal enforcement mechanism.

IMHO, an eVerify mandate, coupled with changes to the FIT code, allowing the IRS to act as the primary enforcement mechanism would remove the (W-2 and 1099) employment ‘magnet’.

It would be simpler, cheaper, more effective and better for our country to just give them a path to legality.

we have paths to legal citizenship, did you not know that ?

these millions coming here illegally don't want to do it the legal way

as for the question by the OP

1. $5,000,000 fine for each instance of having an illegally here person on payroll

2. Not a single dime of taxpayer money to be spent on illegally here people - one example "costing taxpayers as much as $42 billion annually, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, " https://www.aol.com/hud-ends-fha-mortgages-illegal-223833566.html

3. End free hospital/education for illegals

4. birth tourism has to stop

everything that is free has to be stopped - and when it does? there is nothing to be gained by coming here illegally IMO

@trumptman - why not this^^^

After all, if people are working and law abiding (excdpt for immigration law), why not offer a path to legal residence? Their services are obviously needed by the economy, given we have extremely low unemployment.

He proposed a work pemit, not citizenship. Completely different things.

Really? What work permit is available to a landscaper or construction manual laborer? And why wouldn't they want to do it legally, if it were available? How does that make sense?

Please enlighten us.

OMG, you need better news sources and should dig to really understand what you're reading about. That article didn't even have a link to the "study" it was referring to. And this topic is WAY more complex than you let on. So I'm calling bullshit on yur $42 billion number.
3. End free hospital/education for illegals
what are you talking about? Schools are paid for by local taxes. Everyone who lives in a community pays local taxes, one way or another. There is no "free" education for "illegals".
4. birth tourism has to stop

Obviously not working. Why make it worse?

sure

These folks are conveniently clueless about immigration policy.

The bottom line - they gphate immigrants. "They're eating the pets!" They claim they are fine with Kegan ones, but want to eliminate immigration as much as possible and treat those without documentation with torturous brutality.

1. They can't give a lifpgucal reason for deporting them. Theur inky argipument us that it's the law. Well, laws can be changed.

2. Their treatment of them is disgracefully inhumane.

Their services are NOT needed by the economy. They are exploited and allow certain people to refuse to pay Americans a higher and better wage by undermining unions, worker protections, and more.

We have more illegal than ever before. We also have more income inequity than before. It's not a coincidence.

The "jobs Americans won't do" line used to apply to picking cabbage. Now people are applying it to jobs that not only can and would Americans do, they used to do them for union wages.

Are we still supposed to buy the lie that Americans wouldn't frame houses, roof, install drywall and so on for a union wage because that is what they did in the past.

Third highest group is professional services and those are skilled jobs. These are also your illegal nannies and things you've seen in the past. You hire yourself a full time nanny and let her be your live in slave in the old laundry room and pay her some nominal slave wages per month while you save enough for that nice Aspen vacation or cruise. It's the RICH who are doing this and they do it at the expense of the poor.

So that is why.

I'm with Bill Clinton, Hillary and Obama - stop all illegals from being in the USA - secure our border

Trump is making big differences already

Do you not agree ?

Yep, but will US wages rise faster than US prices? If not then republicants will likely have a hard time in the midterm elections.

I agree with all of that. I don't know why shipping people off to prison camps in El Salvador is necessary, or sending people back that were here legally while fleeing places like Cuba or Venezuela is necessary or fixing that issue.

You talk about "concern trolling", the administration is going out of it's way to be cruel and use dehumanizing language.

There's support to limit immigration because of the reasons you list. Trump isn't even deporting people at a level Biden was. He's just making a show of deportations by going after people he doesn't like the speech of or trying to be cruel to whip up the mob.

That (bolded above) is nonsense. It requires considering (counting?) removals from the border regions as deportations. If Jose illegally entered the US 5X and is removed 4X then that was counted as 4 deportations, yet Jose ended up inside the US.

It's not nonsense. Sure, you can fabricate scenarios to explain it away but that's still just made up scenarios to avoid reality.

Your link proves my point of counting removals and returns (from the border) as deportations (from the interior):

U.S. President Donald Trump deported 37,660 people during his first month in office, previously unpublished U.S. Department of Homeland Security data show, far less than the monthly average of 57,000 removals and returns in the last full year of Joe Biden's administration.

In the same article, even the Trump administration isn't making the same excuse you are, which seems like something they'd do if how the numbers calculated were different.

DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said Biden-era deportation numbers appeared "artificially high" because of higher levels of illegal immigration.

It would be simpler, cheaper, more effective and better for our country to just give them a path to legality.
They had a path to legality, and instead they chose the illegal path.

That's their problem.

They had a path to legality, and instead they chose the illegal path.
Actually, some of them did have a path and the amount of time, and the ridiculous cost of doing it the correct way, made this impossible for most of them. That is how the republicans want it.

That's their problem.
When the price of food goes up, it will be our problem as well.

Keep on denying them due process, and YOU could find yourself one and win yourself an all-expenses-paid one-way trip to El Salvador. I'll bet that'd be a change for you.

No, the person eating the vegetables is not at fault for the illegals picking said vegetables...it is the people who hire the illegals to pick. Why? Because they stand to make a greater profit if they cut their costs like this. And also, consider Nebraska: the majority of the workforce was illegal and hired by American farmers. Why? because they were cheap labor. Now, with all the arrests, the illegals moved on to a state where that is less likely to happen. Nebraska farmers no longer have the workforce and are finding out that American citizens won't work on their farms for the pay the illegals were getting. We are seeing first hand how this playing out. And no, it isn't my fault as the consumer, it is the fault of the Americans who hired the illegals.

The landlord who rents to illegals aren't afraid of a discrimination claim: the illegals would have to go to the authorities and risk arrest to do do...and...the landlord can not only name the rental price and make money but also save money on repairs for that property as it would be unlikely.

You can champion all the laws you want. But, if it is more profitable for Americans to hire illegals, then more often than not, all those laws will be ignored for the sake of profit. So, target the illegals all you want...but if you don't target those who hire them, this is just a revolving door.
