Schiff: Trump may face ‘real prospect of jail time’

Schiff is getting waaaaaaaaaaaay too ahead of himself, I doubt Trump will ever see the inside of a jail cell.

However the irony of a Full Time Trump Apologist, saying what you're saying, cannot be understated.

He might if Steven Seagal decides he doesn't like him. Steven works for Vladimir Putin also, and Putin decides that, after arriving in Moscow, Trump is persona non grata, he might instruct Steven Seagal (aka "Lawman") to arrest him and take him to prison, a Russian prison.

I love the picture on Drudge.

Schiff probably thinks it's flattering.
Standford poliSci and JD from Harvard. He cut his teeth on successfully prosecuting an FBI agent passing documents to Russia for money.

Keep laughing and ridiculing his looks. Who is he replacing on the head of the Intelligence Committee? What? Devin Nunes?
The guy with an agriculture degree who ran interference for the White House for two years? The memos, the secret midnight run...that guy?

I'm thinking Schiff isn't gonna have to try very hard to show Nunes how it's done. If there are any threads to pull, Schiff's the guy that will find them, and methodically, pull them all. Good luck in January.

Doesn’t Segal need stunt doubles to perform action scenes in his movies since Segal is so lazy he can’t perform his own stunts.

Schiff appears to have made a habit of shooting his mouth off on CNN every chance he gets. This is just another case of exactly that.

Schiff: There's "damning" evidence of Trump-Russia collusion - Axios

Dec 10, 2017 - Adam Schiff — the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee ... The White House maintained in a statement to the Times that Kushner ...

And yet, such '"damning" evidence of Trump-Russia collusion' has yet to be found.

I've been following all of this since 2016. Back at my old board, I was the very first person to point out issues with Trump and connections to Russia, and it only accelerated when he hired Manafort. So I've seen signs of "collusion" for quite some time. Schiff is not wrong here. Now its just a matter of putting it all together with strong evidence. That is what Mueller is working on.

Because the payments weren’t illegal. So therefore there is no risk of jail time

Uh trump directed Cohen to break the law. Tillerson said trump wanted him to break the law... The risk for jail time the moment he leaves office is about 95%.

Schiff has been so wrong about so many things so often that his credibility is shot, and its because of brash statements and wishful thinking on his part, such as this one, where he did it to himself.

I'll wait to see it happen, thanks.

I'm sure trump has been wrong 1000x more than schiff.

A lawyer spinning "But But But my client wanted me to do it!" goes nowhere with me.

Of course not. Figures.

If all this Trump / Russian collusion is all so prevalent as you believe, do you really think that the destroy Trump media would still remain silent on the matter?
Oh hell no.
They'd be trumpeting it from the highest mountain non-stop.

If all this Trump / Russian collusion is all so prevalent as you believe, where's the evidence? Hard, factual, un-spun, courtroom quality evidence?

Sure, there was the beginnings of a business deal for a Trump property in Moscow, and I do believe that Cohen was working it, but that fell apart before it even got started.

If you want to look for US political collusion with Russians, take a look at the Democrats, Podesta, and Hillary. There's far more nefarious interactions there.

Or don't.

I don't really care what you do.

https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday...iff-trump-may-face-real-prospect-of-jail-time

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Sunday said that President Trump might "face the real prospect of jail time" after prosecutors indicated last week that he directed illegal payments during his 2016 presidential campaign.

"There’s a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time," he said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
========================================
Don't do the crime if you don't want to do the time.

While I think Schiff is well over 50% political posturing, I would also agree that there's a kernel of truth in what he says. Personally, I doubt Trump will go to jail, but I could see the Republicans forcing him to resign so they can salvage the 2020 election...and maybe Jared or Junior doing some house arrest time.

Trump has been playing around in Russia for close to 2 decades. He has had several Russians launder money via his properties. Both of his sons admitted in the past that they have quite a bit of funding out of Russia.

Now all we need is the details of all of this.

Business is one thing, and it's not illegal to do business in Russia. Politics and campaign funding / donations from foreign nations is illegal - See Bill Clinton and China.

I'll wait for that courtroom level evidence, thanks.

So far, all I've seen is both Democrats and their DNC political propaganda media scream "Russia! Russia! Russia!" for 2 years with very little of substance to show for it.

At this point, I'm so jaded, and rightfully so, that its going to take some compelling evidence, and not some guilty by innuendo, wild claims, or CTs.

What is this? Grade School?

:lamo:lamo:lamo:lamo

Your entire basis for not believing schiff is b/c you think he's a lying Democrat. Trump lied today on Twitter about multiple things...

I don't blame you here. There is no real "smoking gun" that any of us (the public) is aware of.

FYI, I've never been one to say Trump is guilty of "collusion" (no such crime). I've often thought if Trump is guilty of anything, it is money laundering. But the statute of limitations on that is 5 years so much of what he has been involved in would not be a legal issue.

If Russia did anything to help Trump in the election of 2016, it was not in coordination with Trump. He simply is not that detail oriented. But those around him, such as Jared, Don Jr., or Manafort? If there is any "collusion", these are the guilty parties. The most Trump himself might have done is to say "get it done". His attention span is much too short to get involved with any details.

So you are a mind reader now?

I distrust Schiff because of all the claims he's made on air that haven't turned out to be true.

Trump lied today on Twitter about multiple things...

Trump's Twitter trolling drive you crazy. Admit it. Kinda funny to watch yours and the others of the left have their hair on fire on a nearly daily basis.

I'd much rather that Trump be able to turn a phrase, such as Regan could, while trolling like that, but that's simply not who he is.

I love this footage of Trump far more.

tenor.gif

It pretty much sums up his presidency, as it's very similar to what he did to get this toilet paper on his shoe.

did you see the coin toss??? :lamo :lamo :lamo :lamo

I kind of felt the same, but this wasn't that long ago:

On May 20, 2014, D'Souza pleaded guilty in federal court to one felony charge of using a "straw donor" to make an illegal campaign contribution to a 2012 United States Senate campaign.[13][14] On September 23, he was sentenced to eight months in a halfway house near his home in San Diego, five years probation, and a $30,000 fine.[15][16] On May 31, 2018, D'Souza was issued a full pardon by President Donald Trump.[17]

That's SDNY Attorney's office. Trump also fired the attorney that prosecuted this guy.

So we are back at square one. You so far haven't disproved my point. Yet you are perfectly fine with Trump being a better liar than Schiff. Is that all it takes to woo you over???

And if the payments weren't illegal, why did Cohen plead guilty? He should have taken his chances in court. If he has done nothing illegal, he would be cleared.

I can’t read Cohens mind

Looks like we have some common ground here.

Maybe. Maybe not. Strong evidence would need to be required for a conviction, other than in the court of public opinion, swayed by the destroy Trump at any cost and by any means necessary, DNC propaganda media laughingly called 'news'.

I think it pretty clear that the Russians meddled in the election, as they have been meddling in US election since even before the onset of the Cold War, which is Putin's frame of reference and experience in the KGB. I think they changes tools, and were using social media this time around, but even so, it has already been reported / demonstrated that it didn't effect the outcome of the election itself, nor that any election results were changed by them (an inherent advantage to decentralized systems such as the election system we have).

You mistake me for someone who's been woo'd.

I've disproved your accusation as to why I don't believe what Schiff says.

The typical 'Trump is a liar' claim more often than not falls apart because his hyperbole is suddenly counted as lies, and this standard never seems to apply to any Democrat or leftist using hyperbole.

If the left and Democrats didn't have double standards, they've have no standards at all.

hyperbole is another word for lying... You have not proven that schiff has lied more than Trump and you can't prove it so you type five useless unconnected lines of thought instead.

Where have I made that claim?

From my recollection, all I've stated was why I didn't believe Schiff.
