Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Sunday said that President Trump might "face the real prospect of jail time" after prosecutors indicated last week that he directed illegal payments during his 2016 presidential campaign.

"There’s a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time," he said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

He has legal issues, but none of them will lead to impeachment or imprisonment. But you just go right ahead believing what your television masters tell you.

Two things...
Schiff isn't exactly one of Trump's biggest supporters.
There's a big difference between Trump could face jail time, might be indicted and Trump will face jail time, and will be indicted after leaving office.

It pretty much sums up his presidency, as it's very similar to what he did to get this toilet paper on his shoe.
 
Schiff has been so wrong about so many things so often that his credibility is shot, and its because of brash statements and wishful thinking on his part, such as this one, where he did it to himself.

And if the payments weren't illegal, why did Cohen plead guilty? He should have taken his chances in court. If he has done nothing illegal, he would be cleared.

Schiff is getting waaaaaaaaaaaay too ahead of himself, I doubt Trump will ever see the inside of a jail cell.

However the irony of a Full Time Trump Apologist, saying what you're saying, cannot be understated.

He plead guilty rather than taking a chance on a much harsher sentence if he lost at trial.
